If you were to come up with a catchy slogan for your writing, what might it be?

Y'know, like "Make vampires great again!", only definitely not that.

haha I would have to go with what my MC would say.

"For star's sake, not another idiom!"

Okay...my real slogan for my novel is...

"She couldn't escape his love. He couldn't escape his past."

But if you are looking for something more on the fun side...

"Missionary girl wreaks havoc on a harem."

"Big words: We got 'em. Don't expect us to know what they mean though."

This is a work in progress....
"He got rejected by his crush, Now he crushes anyone that rejects him. A coming of age story about about the everyday struggle of being a dark lord and dealing with incompetent servants, pesky heroes every few thousand years and most importantly love"

This one i am definitely using:
"....ulated on my toothbrush and forgot to throw it away and ended up using it today. What are you writing down. No you can't quote me on this and put it on the back of your stupid book" - Mason, Age 21, Used the wrong kind of paste to brush his teeth.

This is the best way I can describe my writing in a slogan:

This is a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory system. It cannot be reset. Those who enter may not be equipped. Certain restrictions may apply.

I think an 'author' slogan is pretty useful. Like Danielle Steel's is something like 'keeps you up all night'. I would love something catchy... right now I've something lame like 'magical romance and erotica'. Sigh. Wittiness is eluding me.

That's a cool idea. Maybe I should have a slogan too... my trouble is, the things I write about are pretty varied. I wonder how I can incorporate all my various themes into that? I always was terrible at sound bites.

Maybe that?

"I always was terrible with sound bites."

Or

"Challenging expectations since 1979."

For my adventure series I would say:
"Old school action. Modern world."

I had totally forgotten. I do have one. I used it before and will use it again. :P

We are not alone.

The other I mentioned is more of an inside joke.

"Where everything is sparkly."

My husband and I write a series together. One year I sent out several press releases and put the following:

"I've been trying to kill my husband for years and he just won't die."

I got several call backs. I guess this would work for an MC.

I've used "I never claimed to be sane"
"I do whatever the little voices tell me to do"
"Fuelled by caffeine" and
"Do not disturb, disturbed enough already" about me rather than what I write. Pretty much the same thing though-I should put them in somewhere.

I am particularly fond of one from a web-comic called xkcd: "I'm So Meta, Even This Acronym" I think it's clever enough to be worth sharing here.

For myself, I'd maybe say: "Modern Gothic from a Gothic Modern"

Slogan for what I write:
"Your moral compass will malfunction between these pages."

"Now how did that happen?"

or maybe just: "Oops..."

My beta reader says my slogan is.

"Yeah. Whatever"

For a Les Miz fan fic I wrote the slogan was: "From one of the most beloved stories ever told....comes a new story."

I think the slogan for the Arcturian Confederation series would have to be:

"Girl power gets interstellar capability."

or:

"If women fly spaceships they can be embarrassingly good at it."

Jane herself might put it as:

"I can't leave live bad guys lying around. They make the galaxy look untidy."

"Here there be monsters... and explosions."

Or maybe...

"A volatile experiment gone horribly wrong. Or as the gang likes to call it, just another Tuesday."

"Every time I kill him, he shows a different face."

or

"Darkness embraces the light ... yet fails to prevail.

I suppose I could use one of the things I write in the front of my book when I sign it.

"Just because they can't see it, that doesn't mean you're crazy."

I might write something like:

"Analytical cop seeks cold-blooded killer for lock-in uptown, will bring own cuffs."

I have decided that my main slogan for my entire franchise is:
- Butt Stuff Happens
