In chapter 12, the narrator suggests that the “revelation of consciousness to itself” (25) is the most profound moment of life. In
what context did he experience this revelation, and what does he mean?

He didn't realise he and Capitu were in love until Jose Diaz hints at it then he remembers all there times together and realises how he feels

I wonder if he hadn't heard this talk by Jose Diaz if maybe they would have just continues as innocence for a while longer or maybe not even come to think of themselves as in love. It seems he was very suggestible.
