Paisley the goat
Counting from one to ten is not easy for children, although Paisley the goat will make things easier for little ones. Paisley the goat discovers the many different things that can be counted at the beach on a sleepless night.

Carole P. Roman was the one who told me about this group. I think she is great.

My favourite books are thrillers and film biograhies, but I read other stuff as well, of course. Sunny Spain's been our home for the last 8 years and I'm between (writing) books at the moment, waiting on feedback from my beta-readers on my third one and busy prepping the next one to minimise the downtime.
While I'm keen to learn more about marketing, I recognise I'm notoriously crap at it... but hopefully all this will change. I'm looking forward to a steep learning curve (I wish...)
Thanks for having me here!
Hi Magnus- take a look at Julie's and my book- Navigating Indieworld for quick and easy was to market and promote your book. Also, make sure you download the latest issue of our magazine Indie Author's Monthly- RL always manages to put insightful and helpful articles in there.

Welcome to the group, Rocio, from another children's book author!

I'm C. Gold and am brand new to the whole author thing. I'm quite excited about it (why didn't I do this sooner??!!). I first published a short story The Archmage's Eclipse: A Darklight Universe Short Story while the Aug 21 eclipse was happening. Energized by how fun that was, I finished my first 102k word novel, The Summoner and the Seer: Darklight Universe: Book 1 and published that one. Both are available in Kindle Unlimited on Amazon's store. I also have a web site and all that jazz, which can be found on my Amazon author profile. Don't want this sounding any more advertise-y than it already sounds!
I also love science fiction, urban fantasy, paranormal, and romance. In fact, if you check out my book reading list, it's quite extensive. (And yes, I'm a terrible book addict.)
I'm mostly here to connect with other people who enjoy writing and reading books. It's nice to hang out with people who don't look at you all side-eyed when you would rather curl up at home with a book instead of visit a shopping mall. ;)

Best of luck to you. You joined the right group and Carole can be incredibly unselfish and helpful.

Welcome to the group, C!

I'm a new author here writing under a pseudonym, but have been on the site for a few years as a reader/reviewer.
I just published - like two days ago - two books on Amazon's digital platform, and should also have the paperbacks up soon.
I write Paranormal Romance (much of it dark), and an occasional Horror story - full length and short.
Before I yammer on about my books, I'd like to become a Goodreads Author in order to get the books up...which is problematic at the moment. Not sure what the problem is, but I'm hoping that I/Goodreads gets it all sorted out.
Anyway...as I continue to learn and grow in this psychotic endeavor that is self-publishing, I look forward to hanging out here from time to time!

Welcome to the world of indie authoring! You need to have a book in the system before you can get the author stuff to work, and it seems to take a few days for a new book to trickle into Goodreads. So... You should already have your Amazon Author Central page set up. And maybe tomorrow the book can be found when you search for it and you can add it to Goodreads and create your author section here as well. Just be patient.

I know, right? Of course now it's, "Sorry, I can't play the game with you, I'm busy trying to get my Halloween short out in time." This writing thing is addictive!

He's from Vitoria, coldest city in Spain (Basque country), but beautiful. Both our daughters were born there.

And to you too, C. I got some help from Goodreads, and the books are up. I'm now waiting for the Author's Program application to go through.
Welcome, Magnus!

it's there!!! Many thanks for the swell review ;)

:) great. Beautiful, indeed

Some great memories; Elda,Elche, Petrel, Play San Juan Murcia some real great memories with some great friends. A few years ago I went back on a consulting assignment and the factory owners treated me like a long lost brother. We went to our favorite restaurant (Pizzeria Romano) and when I asked for the onion soup that I always ordered the owner came out crying and hugged me like a long lost brother.

I'm Anne, married with two kids, a beagle and ... cats. I published my first novella back in August, my second this month and am working on the third. I would love to connect with other indies for advice and inspiration. Your success stories keep me motivated!
I write YA/NA in the thriller/suspense genre. I'm hoping the time I spend here will introduce me to new authors and help me learn more about the indie publishing game :)
