OMG! I'm at the point where (view spoiler)[ the Mistwraith is possessing Lysear and I'm about to stroke out. You know something like this is going to happen to fulfill the prophesy but you hope against hope that it just doesn't come to pass. (hide spoiler)] Man, really getting into this.

Tnkw01, I'm afraid to open up your spoiler because I may not be that far along in the book (just starting chapter 4), but I'm really enjoying this so far...long way to go yet.

Yea, don't open it. You'll know when you get there. A lot of twists and turns and change of directions in this tale. It's really great.

I'm mid-way through chapter 7 (about 1/3 of the book). This is very well written, with a descriptive and interesting story. Quite a few colorful characters that may or may not be what they seem at first meeting...time will tell...I have my suspicions.

The complexities of the characters are very well written. You get more and more insights in their make up as you go along.

I'm about to start chapter 10 (40% through). Two of the characters remind me of other literary icons...(view spoiler)[I keep picturing Asandir as Gandolf; and Dakar the Mad Prophet as Friar Tuck. Maybe they'll morph into their own characters before I'm finished with the book. (hide spoiler)].

Really enjoying this so far. I'm not going to the Q&A thread with Janny yet because I don't want to read anything that may "spoil the surprise" and change how the tale unfolds for me; but I'll get over there eventually, at least to read the comments.

I almost didn't keep reading . Then I started back last night. This is a GREAT story. One of those books you do not want to stop reading.

On chapter 14 (60% through). I'm enjoying the story, but find the pacing a bit clumsy. Some things happen in a flash and others seem to drag on. All in all, it is definitely worth the read.

Ooooh, I can't say. But I'm almost finished.

lol, the story has really taken off in the second half of the book...a few more days of reading left.

There wasn't as much left to the book as I thought, so I stayed up to finish it. A very good story...4 stars.

A few comments (view spoiler)[ I didn't get the sense that I really knew Lysaer, so much was focused on Arithon (and his moodiness grew tiresome). Would have liked to see Elaira and her group more fully developed to add a greater richness to the overall story...not sure what their role was supposed to be in all of this. Also confused about the abrupt Fellowship "departure"...so much for guidance. (hide spoiler)]

Well, I finished here's my review. I have to say, if ever there was a book that needs to be an audiobook, this is it. (Put this in the wrong place and moved it.)
