Fantasy Book Club discussion

Ok, I'm going to try and do this every month. If I get decent participation I'll keep doing it.

I've been giving this thought and realised that I'm rubbish on actor names!

Initially, I toyed with Ben Barnes but I'm not convinced he could be Arithon.

I believe Tom Felton might make a good Lysear. (Blond hair and all). I believe Arithon needs to be dark and brooding.

How about Paul Wesley for Arithon.

I realised that I need a better actor name knowledge! I watched something and a background actor had the perfect Arithon face. I can't remember what film it even was!

It was difficult to fit actors to this book, for me. The only one I could think of was the actor (Blake Ritson) who played the role of Girolamo Riario in "Da Vinci's Demons" as a possible Arithon.

I don't recognize any of the actors mentioned in the previous posts.

I think this is a fun discussion to have. For some reason I didn't see the thread while I was reading Curse of the Mistwraith, which turned out to be a difficult character identity story for me. I'm not reading Black Prism with the group...the wait list was too long for an ebook copy, but perhaps others would enjoy the "name game"?

I think it's worth a play each month, I'll join in when I read.

Helen, do you think more people would see it if it was included under the monthly read rather than general chit chat? I totally missed last month's thread until recent comments.

I think The Black Prism is actually a good "movie type" book. I can put it anywhere that might make it more noticeable.

I'm happy for it to go in the 'read' folder.
