Elizabeth Dragina Ohhh Lynette Eason I have a lot of her books on my "want to read" shelf.... I just can't get them at the library, so I will have to buy them. Are they like really good!?

Macey (meesamacey) I'm Macey and I have a reading problem. I am under 18 and tend to stay up a few extra hours at night because I'm in the middle of a good book. Some weekends I sit on the couch and just read until I finish my book. I'll get up and make food, but then I'll sit down and read during meals. I also have a habit of neglecting schoolwork just to read

Beverly (bjbixlerhotmailcom) | 326 comments My name is Beverly and I am a read-a-holic, also.
My story is similar to those above. I have been a voracious reader since childhood. I have read more than 22,000 books in my life time so far. I am a retired children's librarian, so many of those books are picture books, beginning readers, transitional reading books, middle grade chapter books, middle school chapter books, and young adult books. There are also a lot of adult books as well.
I read when I get up in the morning, I read while waiting in line, I read at every opportunity. When I am not reading, I am probably listening to an audiobook, especially while working a jigsaw puzzle or doing housework. Between my husband and myself, we have 9 bookcases full of books. I don't keep all of the books I read, only my absolute favorites. Books I don't plan on re-reading I donate to the library or sell at Half-Price Books. I also get a great many of the books I read from the public library (retired librarian, remember?).

Christine Indorf | 392 comments My name is Christine and I am a read-a-holic!! My son says I have a problem!! I don't think so but I guess my constant reading could be a problem to some. All my life I have been a reader. This last year I did the best thing I could ever do, stop cable!! If you are like me, you stare at the TV for hours doing nothing. So I had enough and cancelled it!! So I started reading more. I got into bookclubs and then on goodreads, I started to be apart of a community. I have met wonderful people like me, Also authors that I admire. (alittle star stucked)! I love my new life as a writer, reader, and now reviewer!! I wound't give up reading for anything!!

Nancy (gr-nancy-a) | 310 comments My name is Nancy. I too am a read-a-holic. My place is cluttered; I would rather read than do most anything else.
I have stacks of read books that i don’t want to keep but am not sure of the best way to get rid of them. I don’t know many local readers :(
Definitely two of my favorite stops are bookstores and libraries. I am sure I am one if the biggest buyers of books at nearby libraries’ book sales.
I am retired now so plan to visit more garage sales and check out those books too.
Happy reading fellow bookworms. (I trust y’all cast informed votes in the recent election too ;)

Nancy, is there a local charity that takes books? Sometimes clothes closet type places that give away clothing to those in need also have a shelf for books. Or maybe a library or church could use the donations or could recommend a charity that does.
