Abhorsen Readalong discussion

Since it's June, our re-read is officially underway! I'll post a chapter guide later, but for now feel free to talk about the book!

FIRST QUESTION: Who's read the book before and who's reading it for the first time? I read the Abhorsen series in middle school but I feel like I'm reading it for the first time because I don't remember anything except that I loved the books.

I've never read it before. I'm like Alison, I never heard of it when I was young.

I read Sabriel and Lirael a LONG time ago and I remember very little.

I've never read it before, actually! Picked up the box set a while ago after seeing the books on a friend's shelf and being intrigued (especially by the cover art >_>). My roommate went through the audiobooks recently too, so my interest has only risen.

Looks like we're all either reading for the first time or read so long ago we remember little! Here's a rough reading schedule that I made in May(and forgot to post last week--oops).

June 1st-7th: Chapters 1-7
June 8th-14th: Chapters 8-14
June 15th-21st: Chapters 14-21
June 22nd-28th: Chapters 22nd-end

Obviously I messed up and forgot to post week 1's, but this is just a rough outline in general. If you haven't started yet, don't worry! I haven't either. :) You can read it all at once if you want. This was just the chapter outline I thought we'd follow for discussion without fear of spoilers.
