message 1: by Diane (new)

Diane Moseley | 2647 comments No. Nope. No way!-What is God telling you to do and you flat out refuse to do it? Jonah refuse at first to obey God and he had to sit in the belly of a whale and think about it, for 3 days and 3 nights. God gave Jonah a second chance to help others and do his will and because of his obedience others turned from their wickedness, and God had mercy on them.-Now the LORD had arranged for a great fish to swallow Jonah. and Jonah was inside the fish for three days and three nights.-Jonah 1:17-DIVINE WORDS BY DIANE.

message 2: by Rod (new)

Rod Horncastle Wouldn't it be interesting if God spoke to us exactly the physical way He spoke to Jonah?
Surprisingly, this in no way reached Jonah's heart and compassion.

Now we seem to have the heart, but the message never seems to be as specific. Which affects how we view our failure or missed opportunities.
What a joy to have things placed on our hearts and laid in front of us.
