I would like to make 2 nominations:
First Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman. This one just came out and I''m super excited for it!! As the title suggests it is based in Norse mythology.
The Second is Eaters of the Dead by Michael Crichton (It was also released under the title 13th warrior after the movie came out but Eaters of the Dead was the original title) I would say about half to two-thirds of the book is based on Beowulf.

I've read Eaters of the Dead and although it was brilliantly researched (of course, it's Crichton!), I didn't really enjoy the story as it was told. I really disliked the movie.

ooooh I haven't read this yet!

Upon receiving an adorable St. Patrick's day themed t-shirt for my daughter, I started thinking about myths, legends and other folktales that us silly little humans celebrate and share over the years and through the generations. So I thought it would be fun to have a myths/legends/folktales theme this month! Share a book you have read or would like to read that is about any sort of mythical awesomeness. It could be a local one from where you're from, one that everyone knows about or just some crazy malarkey no one's ever heard of but sounds interesting. I've always found this stuff super interesting and would love to see what cool books come out of this one!
Thank you all!
