This is a 2 book task.
Book 1 – To celebrate Free Comic Book day on May 6, read a book with the main page genre graphic novels, sequential art, comics, etc.
AND
Book 2 – Celebrate Buy a Musical Instrument Day on May 22 – read a book with a musical instrument on the cover. This should be a commonly recognized musical instrument, not just any object that could theoretically be used to make noise.
REQUIRED: Include the cover.

Pandora Hearts, Volume 01
The Complete Persepolis
The Dresden Files: Storm Front, Volume 1- The Gathering Storm

NOTE: A microphone will not work.

no - see the Rules of the Challenge:
"3. Books must have at least 100 pages to be used for points in the SRC. This limit may be referenced as 100+.
Only plays or books of poetry may be combined to reach the 100 page minimum. Other genres of books must meet the 100+ page requirement on their own. "

unfortunately, no. It's a collection of comic strips, so must be at least 200 pages - see the Rules of the Challenge:
"Graphic novels, manga or collected comic book issues must be at least 100 pages.
Collections of syndicated, periodical or internet comic strips, single or short-format panels, or cartoons must be at least 200 pages to be used for SRC tasks.

This should make me more tolerant of those that like the genre. My son grew up reading Japanese Manga in Japanese

The Secret History of Wonder Woman is in the "Not Really a Comic Book/Graphic Novel" thread. Can it still be used for Option 1 in this task? Main Page Genre = Sequential Art > Comics.
Or does Option 1 need to actually be a graphic novel/comic?

Sorry, no. If it's been exempted as "not really a graphic novel," then it can't be used as a graphic novel.
