It's my favorite so far. I've read everything by the three sisters other than The Professor, The Tenant At Wildfield Hall and the juvenilia.

The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is good- lots of suspense and romance.

I enjoyed this. I don’t think it’s quite as effective as Gaskell’s North and South, or even her Mary Barton. But it’s a good solid piece of writing with some very effective scenes.
