Janny (jannywurts) | 807 comments I wished to say thank you to every one of you who read this book, and who contributed to the discussion. It has been quite a privilege and a pleasure.

The intelligence and the conduct of the group has been exemplary and fun -- my applause to you all, and to your diligent moderators, who have created such a fine forum to appreciate all the fantasy field has to offer.

If you enjoyed this book, and wish to know what other authors I read for my own pleasure, or have any afterthoughts, ask away.

I will monitor this topic time to time to pick up any comments from any who may still be reading, or who wish to jump in late with a discussion point or a question.

As a member of the Fantasy Book Club, I expect to be around for some time to come. You are a great group!

Jon (jonmoss) | 529 comments It has been a delight to read your posts, answers, insights, . . . the list is endless. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and I have most of the rest of the series waiting in the wings for me to savor and absorb.

Thank you for sharing so much of yourself.

Stefan (sraets) As book discussions go, this was one of the best ones I've participated in. It really added to my enjoyment and understanding of the novel. Thanks to Janny and to everyone else who participated.

Janny (jannywurts) | 807 comments For anyone who bought the book, and may wish to have a signed book plate:

The Gallery section on my website (http://www.paravia.com/JannyWurts) has a "contact" page. Mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to me, at the post office box listed there. Mention this discussion, request the signed book plate, and say whether you wish only a signature, or a personalization - if the latter, provide the name with clear, correct spelling.

If you live overseas, e mail me and make the request, then mail me the pre-addressed envelope.

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 916 comments Thank you, Janny. I feel that the privilege was ours in having you here to lead the discussions. And it was a real treat to read the book as well. This was one of the best discussions on a book that I've participated in...

Janny (jannywurts) | 807 comments Thanks - yet - credit where due, it was you guys who sparked the responses!

Libby | 242 comments My comments echo those of the others - it was really our privilege to have you participate in the discussion of this amazing book. It’s a rare treat to be able to get the author’s perspective. I really appreciate your taking the time to give us insight into your work. You passion for the series is certainly contagious. What brings this book, and the entire series, to life is your dedication to telling a rich, detailed story with astonishing scope. I find your prose lyrical and enchanting; you are able to literally weave the story. Too few authors carefully craft their work in that manner that you have. Thanks again! I’m looking forward to continuing the series.

Thanks for such kindly words.

Libby - and any others who plan to go on - there's room for a LOT more fun in the weave - and a bit of play to look forward to - in Ships.
