Read:
Alison, Clean Sweep definitely counts for Summer, since it's all set in just a couple of days in the summer in Texas. (How's that for knowing a book? Seriously though, I am a major fan of Ilona Andrews and have this one and the other 2 in the series stashed in paper AND ebook form, so that I can re-read whenever I feel like it.)
And I'm willing to give you the Terry Pratchett in whatever season you want to put it, mostly because I loved his writing so much, and went into mourning when he passed away in 2015. Black pants and shirts and everything.
I read Karma Girl back when it first came out, but don't remember a lot about when it was set. If you can make the claim that it was set mostly in a specific season, go for it.
And Harvest Hunting works at least if it's really set in the Harvest period, aka fall.
I'm usually really relaxed about the rules, as long as you can make a good case for the book fitting into it's defined season.

I keep putting off that series, because I am trying to be goos and not but more books, and the library doesn't have it.
But good to know, because I love the team of Ilona Andrews.
I have had Karma Girl on my list for like ever, so that is wonderful
Good to know on the others.

Oh wow, I didn't actually realize it was a spin-off series. Very cool, I just love almost anything they write so just expect to read it no matter what.

Tennacious B--the reason for this folder/thread was to give YOURSELF a challenge. Back when we first started, it was 7 books a month (that was back in 2007). When 2008 rolled around, we upped it to 8 books, same with 2009, but at 2010 we decided to just lock the number at that, since it was starting to get hard for some of us to read that many books a month. But even when we first started it was "challenge yourself to up your reading game." So, if you want to change it to reading 3 or 4 or 5--feel free. (I'd do the 4 for this month, since we have 4 categories, and that way, you get 1 per category. But do what you feel comfortable doing.)
I myself read about 1 to 2 books a day (depending on how thick they are) but I'm retired and have "health issues" (bad car smash which resulted in some rather serious bodily damage) and some of my reading is to distract myself from pain. On the days when I can barely move, I might even get in 4 books in a day. But on those days, I also tend to not sleep, so that would be 4 books in a 24 hour period.

See I read that, and had to do a double take because I thought you said 2 books a DAY... only to realize that you in fact did say 2 books a DAY!!!! I am sorry you are in pain but books do provide such great distraction - hope you feel better soon!
And thanks for the encouragement - I will do my best!

Please do not. I am involved in a bunch or challenges on a few other groups and more than one of them were timed. I would say half of my current reading is actually Audio books. Or my monthly number would be between 6-12 a month. Unless they are all YA or short Cozy Mysteries.
I know some people that have numbers that are mind boggling. Just do what you can and enjoy what you are reading, and other aspects of life. ;-)
Lynn, don't feel like a slacker. Everyone reads at different speeds (I'm a speed reader) and has a different amount of time in which to indulge their love of books. I am also somewhat of a "special case" as I mentioned using reading to help with controlling my health issues. Plus being retired and not having to get out and earn a living gives me more time to read too. And I've always been a really fast reader, practically since I started reading, which means that I can get through more books than most people. And I hate having to stop in the middle of a book to go to bed, so I will sometimes run on really short sleep because I couldn't bear to put down a book because I hadn't finished it. And the using 24 hours in a day on bad days also means that I can get a lot of books in.

This is our weather one, as suggested by Alison (Lady Coffin).
Each of the books that we read must meet ONE (or more, if you can find any that do) of the following rules: the cover has pictures of the flowers for that time (examples are tulips for spring, roses for summer, aster’s or mums for fall and poinsettias for winter) or a picture FROM that season—swimsuits, snowmen, etc., the title has the season in it, either the h or H is named (first or last) for the season, the AUTHOR’s name is the season or, the entire book is set in that particular season. In the event that you are using the COVER, please link a picture of the cover for your edition.
