We did it! We made it! The Mime Order has come to a close. Is everyone okay? How's your pulse rate? Do you need a moment?

There are no Pros and Newbies now that everyone is caught up, so gather around and let's talk. Let's talk series arc and the scrimmage and Nashira and the Black Moth and the Ranthen and JAXON. What did you think of The Mime Order and THAT ENDING?

Rhiannon (fire-to-the-poppies) | 23 comments I almost threw my book when I worked out the ending. I was so shocked! But I love the Mime Order. It might be my favourite book so far, I love the murder mystery aspect of it, yet it wasn't too obvious "who done it" so it never got boring.
The scrimmage is one of the best bits of the whole dang book. I love it so much. Every time Paige says she Black Moth I get chills! And then when Warden and the other Rephs walk in!! This book is fantastic from start to finish

Alix | 70 comments Somehow I only saw this thread now, oops! Jaxon being the traitor was completely shocking, but made perfect sense. I only wonder why he didn't seem to work out sooner where Paige was when she went missing, given that he'd been taken there as well. Probably he had his suspicions but wasn't willing to do anything drastic until they were confirmed.
The murder mystery aspect of it was very satisfying, the only thing we still need to know is the motive. Cutmouth said something about how Hector got too greedy, but I look forward to learning more.
I'm never sure about how I feel about cliffhangers. One thing I appreciated about how book 1 was that it had an "ending" but still left you looking forward to learning more (when Paige laments at the end of TBS that she'll never see Warden again, I thought "pfft, yeah you will. there are seven of these things!". The ending of TMO was brilliant, but from when I first finished it in January of 2014 to now, I remain in agony (even after having ready the excerpt that Bloomsbury released). I did feel completely justified in my dislike of Jaxon by the ending. :)
