(view spoiler)[Eh, I was not impressed with this book. The characters seemed bland, and nothing really happened. The whole "plot" was Xander or Ky. I found Cassia to be very self-absorbed, not bothering to look passed her own nose at things that didn't concern her. Things are clearly wrong at some points, like when she notices that there are less Officials than normal, but she barely spares a glance because Xander and Ky are present and she has to stress over them some more. And she's such a docile little lamb, content with her lot. She doesn't do anything she isn't supposed to, and doesn't question ANYONE, even when she should. I get that she's a child of the Society and was taught not to, but come on! There comes a time when common sense should play a part. (hide spoiler)]
I gave it 2.5 stars.
I will say, however, that I have had this book on my shelf for I don't know how long, and I'm glad to have it moved from my TBR shelf to my Read one. :) Thank you!
