Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments Query before making a major merge of author names.

Currently we have three profiles (well 4 if you include my temp adding variant):

Tatiana Ustinova - current default variant
Tatjana Ustinova
Татьяна Устинова

Her books are currently published in Russian, Lithuanian, Estonian and German (that I've found). Each of the Latin script translations seems to use Tatjana Ustinova.

LCAuth has Tatiana Ustinova, but since there are no English variants I am questioning how valid it is to have that variant on each record: https://lccn.loc.gov/n2002036606

So, are there any objections to merging the established English form of a name with a non-English latinate form when there are NO editions translated into English? I have found no evidence of English language translations of her works on Goodreads, Worldcat, or vendors (the editions listed as English on Worldcat are definitely in Russian, or not by this author).

That seems reasonable in this case.

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments OK. I'll merge into the English, then change the spelling since the "English" version is a better record.

EDIT: Done
