Any other topics you'd like to discuss? Your overall opinion of the story?

I liked the mystery and suspense but the romance fell flat. I like Nathan, I like Alex but as a couple? Couldn't figure out what attracted them to each other beyond sex. Plus, there seemed to be more in her background that wasn't shared. It would have been helpful.

Exactly my thought. The story itself with the mystery and suspense was well done, the romance was only so-so. A little more background on Alex and what pushed her to do what she does would have developed her character nicely. I don't know if I remember correctly but at one point I think Nathan asked about her life and her parents but she seemed to brushed it off? I think an opportunity was missed there to develop her character.

Your recollection matches mine. I was surprised when the book ended without us learning more about what led Alex to be so driven in helping women disappear.

Laura I liked the mystery and Nathan. I'm glad he and Alex got together at the end but am still not sure what he sees in her. I didn't really feel their chemistry, unlike Courtney and Will in the last book. I'm glad to hear Courtney is expecting, as I suspected that in their book.
