Okay, I found it lol I had to go through the list twice, at least I knew sort of where it was. I went back because I figured it could have been spelt wrong. Page #48 7th on left list from top to bottom and it's called poular authors. I didn't catch that the first time, sorry

You're right, this is more books than I'd need if I were doing it as a stand-alone. But I started off by putting down all the Mar. books I haven't read yet (e.g., False Prophet and Man with a Load of Mischief) in any categories they hadn't already been used for. Some of the new books that I added just for April will be available for May crossover if I haven't read them by the time I do that planning. And that's pretty likely, since I'm chronically behind. :)

I especially like that you spotted the podium on the cover of the John Lewis book.
And I'm interested to hear what you think of Article 5 when you've read it. I might need to add it to my TBR/

I really wanted to represent all the letters and all the books at least once in the category section, so I had to get a little creative. =P

I got a signed copy when I met the author a couple years ago, so I've been feeling kinda guilty for not reading it yet! Seems like people either love it or hate it, so I'll let you know what side of the line I end up on!

Dee, is it a dig? Could you label it dig site in Crete? It would be easier to answer if you posted the cover. Also does it mention in the description on GR that this is Crete?

Lyn, your plan looks good. However, you could have used The Wednesday Sisters for (f), if you had wanted.

from the book description (on GR)
When famed archaeologist Arthur Evans unearthed the ruins of a sophisticated Bronze Age civilization that flowered on Crete 1,000 years before Greece's Classical Age, he discovered a cache of ancient tablets, Europe's earliest written records.
Bea wrote: "Lyn, your plan looks good. However, you could have used The Wednesday Sisters for (f), if you had wanted."
Thanks Bea. I thought about that and might do that, but I have to read both books this month for monthly challenges in other groups, and I am not really sure I even want to read The Painted Gun, so I figured if I have to read it, I may as well use it for more than just one thing, lol. Hopefully I'll like it more that I think.

I'm not sure....my inclination would be yes, also, but I know there was a lot of discussion around not being able to use obscure references or discriptives like yellow flower for Y....hopefully Tien will weigh in soon.

Soo those symbols on the cover, are they Cuneiform?
Or that concentric circles, is that a Maze of some sort?

Coralie, I would say that with the Eiffel Tower, that's recognizably Paris. And, you're right, of course, a city.

Ah, but you want a "C," right? So doesn't "circle" itself count?

There is a circle near the top in the symbols.

Karin, I have no objection to your books especially the 2 rather obscure ones... 'obscure' in the sense that there are barely any ratings on them nor 'readers' and therefore, there are no top shelves on the main book page. However, for the purpose of this challenge, anyone should be able to check on those 'shelves' so whilst within the spirit of the books & shelves, those 2 fit within the 2 shelves mentioned, we'd have to be able to find them on those shelves. As we can't actually check them through the main book page, they must be somewhere in the individual shelf pages: (music or philosophy)
Could you point out the page numbers for each book, please, Karin? I'll help you look when I'm a little free later, thanks!
Could you point out the page numbers for each book, please, Karin? I'll help you look when I'm a little free later, thanks!

It's not too late for me to change books for those 2 tags. I didn't even check this volume of Plato, since I know that the Complete Works has this tag. I see that the music shelf only has 100 pages and that the lowest number of ratings there are 7, so that won't work to be able to find it.
Or, if I can't fit in enough books, I may use one or two skips since I have at least 2 so far (will check to see if I earned any others in March).
Thanks, Karin.
And no rush to finish this card in April... it is open for all the way up to December so surely you'd be able to fit in something within the next 9 months :)

True, but I keep forgetting that. Over and over and over again. Plus we can use one book for different shelves in different months.

Okay. So confusing, all these different rules in different places ;).
Rule of thumb is that challenges are rather more stringent with the shelf but monthly reads are not.
