Congratulations! Home buying can suck up all your free time. That's the reason I had such a lackluster reading year last year.

Welcome to home ownership. Might I suggest an addition to your home library...a book on basic home repairs.
We spent the summer searching for homes in our area, and finally put an offer on a short sale in August.
...Unfortunately, short sale means you're dealing with the bank that holds the current mortgage, so it took months for them to just say yes to our offer. Then we had to go through the whole 2-month closing process, which occurred during the holiday season. We finally closed on January 13th, moved into our new house on January 24th, and now we're slowing settling into the idea that we actually own a house.
I'm sorry I haven't been around on Goodreads, but what with the stress of buying a home, packing our stuff up, fixing up our apartment so we could get our security deposit back, and moving in, I didn't even have the time to read, much less talk about reading! But I'm back now and ready to get out of my reading rut! Whoohoo!
