Congratulation! Early retirement is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I wish you many years of contented leisure!

Excellent. Have been considering it and talking it over with hubby for about a year.

Congratulations! I'm so jealous... :-)

Enjoy!! I'm looking forward to my second retirement. Although I'm hoping to get a job at the local bookstore in where our other house is......I go in almost every time we go up and talk with the owner.

I simply cannot imagine feeling this way! Lucky you, that you do!

Same here! My husband has retirement in the crosshairs and it can't get here soon enough for him. I've told him don't expect me to retire any time soon. I'm still having way too much fun in my career. LOL

Yay! Congrats! My sister retired at the end of last year and she's really happy. I hope you'll be just as happy!

That being said, I'll probably find a little part-time job ... even a volunteer one ... just to keep active and be around people. I love my husband, but we're not ones to stay joined at the hip all day, every day.

I hope so, too ... but I'm thinking that with my long commute eliminated my # of books read might DEcrease ... because I won't be listening to as many audios.

I work part-time in the local public library and I absolutely love my job. Retirement is on the horizon...but not yet.

Adulting.

Congratulations! Great choice; you can't rewind the clock, so enjoy the time you have and a part time job sounds like a perfect way not to be joined at the hip all day every day (my husband and I can't be joined at the hip all day every day, either).

Someday, if I can ever afford to retire (and it can't come soon enough for me... but if I go by the traditional age, I have 21 years to go!!!), I will likely volunteer, as well. I love my volunteering!

I think of you every time I drive past Landmark!

That's awesome BC!!! Enjoy your retirement.
After my mom retired she used to "work" for books at a local used bookstore. Only like once a week-but she gets free books!

I do a lot more walking after retirement and it's a great way to get those audios in. I'm actually listening to more than I did while commuting.
