Emma Fernandez Hello everyone! I wanted to know your opinion about YA books subscripcion boxes like Owlcrate, Enchantedbookbox or Wonder girl box. Are any of you subscribed to them? Which one would you recommend? I wanted to try one and it would have to be one that delivers to Spain.

ℓуηη_σƒ_νєℓαяιѕ | 85 comments I've been debating Owlcrate myself, and I didn't know about those other two. D: I'm going to keep an eye on this post and see what people say.

Me too. I've never heard of subscription boxes.

Rebecca Rossi (geminibec17) YA Chronicles in Australia is the best! You get about 2-5 Bookish Goodies that are themed monthly plus a brand new YA release.

Penny | 1 comments check out cratejoy.com. They have a lot of different book and bookish subscription boxes. I personally get Owlcrate and Uppercase (this one is not offered through cratejoy though).

Alison (a1ison74) | 11 comments I have a subscription to FairyLoot who are UK based like me. I've had about 5 boxes so far (currently awaiting my 6th) and so far the contents have been pretty good.

You get a new release book each month plus about 5 or 6 other items. The book tends to be YA fantasy but there have been sci fi and Steampunk books too. Recent boxes had Flashfall, Empress of a Thousand Stars, Caraval and Nevernight so some pretty big releases and occasionally a couple of days before release.

Book themed candles feature regularly and there are always bookmarks. I've also received pop funko's, tea, a mug, cushion cover, art prints and jewellery.

They do ship internationally but it does push the price up a bit. If you want to see some boxes try #fairyloot on either twitter or instagram. You'll also find unboxings on YouTube and they have a GoodReads group.

Paul West (paulwwest) Not to sound ignorant, but what are "subscription boxes?" What do they do and how does one find them?

Emma Fernandez First, thank you Alison for informing about FairyLoot. I think is the one I´m going to go for. Pity that next moth is already sold out.

Hello Paul! Subscription boxes basically send you a package every month with a different variety of surprise items. Those about books tend to send one or two books plus some books related items. The price of the box is fixed.
For example, Owlcrate sent in February: Caraval by Stephanie Garber, a Lip-Balm, Carnival-themed Sticky Page Flags, a candle, a notebook and some art print. Always includes a note from the author of the book of the month. ($29.99 plus shipping)
FairyLoot sent: Empress of a Thousand Skies by Rhoda Belleza with letter from the author, Guardians of the Galaxy Baby Groot Keychain, a pouch, a candle, a coaster, a bookmark, a bathbomb and a art print (£26 plus shipping)
Hope this helps

That's great. I got one box to start with to see what it was like and then took out a three month subscription to take advantage of the voucher codes which get you 5% off.

The boxes do tend to go quite fast. It's usually a good idea to follow them on twitter and/or instagram as they post there if any boxes become available.

I hope you enjoy. It's kind of like getting a surprise present every month :)
