I wonder that also. I have classes to balance out. When I have a weekend to myself I can usually knock out one book if it's around 300 pages. Books that are less than that ususally take a day or a day and a half but this also varies.

I read a 300 page book in around 3 hours.
I suppose its because reading is one of my only hobbies, I lie in bed reading 1-2 hours every day, and read half day or all day on saturdays. Also I read on the subway.

if it is a book that i dont really find interesting then a week!!!

I am a fast reader so an hour for me means anywhere between 50-60 pages. I make it a point to cover at least 50% of the book in one sitting. Usually I start around 10 at night and read till 1-1:30, this is the least interrupted time I have throughout the day.
If the book is very interesting I mighy continue to read till 2:30 (I can work on bare minimum sleep thankfully :P ) Also I don't go out a lot (not my scene) so it gives me the added energy to pull through hefty reads in short time.
It all depends how much interested you are in the book and in getting your reading qouta for the week done.

totally agree with you!!
college and exams have a way of screwing my reading time!!!

If it is during the week with job n cooking n stuff (like sleep, bath, etc) then may take 3-5 days.

If I have the whole day free and I'm interested, I can easily finish a 300ish page book in a few (4ish) hours.
If I'm busy but interested, it's usually around a week.
If I'm busy and not interested it can take up to two weeks.

If I'm disinterested or busy then about 4-6 days.

Usually, it depends on how intrested I am and how busy I am at the time though.

I wish I could read these kinds of books in one sitting, but I just can't do it without missing on almost all the information. And if I don't know what I'm reading or I won't remember a single thing in a couple of days, what's the point?
