Jordan Hughes Frankenstein is a good book that tells of a lonely man who tried to advance the human race, failed, and reaped what he sowed for it.
In my opinion, the defining moment in the book was when the monster kills the main characters(Victor) soon to be wife(Elizabeth). At this moment Victor swore his revenge and started his quest.
The theme of the book is secrecy. Victor conceives of science as a mystery to be probed, its secrets, once discovered, must be jealously guarded. Victors ways of secrecy ultimately lead to the demise of almost everyone close to him. He was obsessed with the secrets and took them all the way to the death bed.
The reason why I enjoyed the book was because I never really felt bored while reading it, and its the first book in a while that's done that too me. It always peaked my interests by having almost constant action and by telling the story of Victor Frankenstein and his monster from different point of views, whether its from Victors or Walter. Overall, I'm happy with my read and definitely will be enjoying the book later.
