Melanie Wodzicki Hi all you fellow YA lovers! What would you recommend for someone who will throw her tablet against the wall if she has to read about one more annoying flip-flopping heroine who can't decide between 2 guys? Thanks!

hedda (heddiling) | 17 comments Daughter of Smoke and Bone is an amazing read, completely free from a love triangle. It's honestly one of the best books I've read.

message 4: by Jeanette (new)

Jeanette I can recommend Cinder (first book of the Lunar Chronicles) and also Ruby Red (Precious Stone Trilogy) and Six of Crows (Six of Crows duology). I love them all and they are love triangle free ;-)

L.C. Perry | 202 comments I agree with Bookworm! Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy is an amazing series. You can also try Penryn and the End of Days trilogy too.

Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee

I also have a series out with no love triangle, but the romance doesn't start until later in the series.

Floura Aarion Lokkii (flouraaarionlokkii) | 85 comments Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas or A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas because Sarah J. Maas does not do love triangles.

Melanie Wodzicki Thank you! Awesome recommendations! I'll get started right away! :)

Melanie Wodzicki Jewel, I've come across Court of Thorns and Roses before, but saw that it was up for a Best Love Triangle award or something... there aren't 2 guys??

Kat | 334 comments Yeah, in ACOTAR series, there are technically two guys.
In the Throne of Glass series there ends up being three guys.
Maas clearly does do love triangles.

Melanie Wodzicki What do you mean by "technically"?

Lidia (silverm) | 9 comments Well the books without love triangle that I read and are very good:
Uprooted by Naomi Novik
The Winner's Curse (The Winner's Trilogy, #1) by Marie Rutkoski
Touch of Power (Healer, #1) by Maria V. Snyder

Well, I can't really tell you without spoiling it, I think. Basically, in the first book, the romance leans heavily with one guy but in the second book it leans heavily with another guy and by the end, it seems like it will stay with that guy. So it's sort of a love triangle, but it's up to you how you would view that.

message 13: by Melanie (new)

Melanie Wodzicki Ok I see what you mean.... I just hate it when it becomes Team This Guy vs Team That Guy. So, yeah, I guess I would consider that to be a love triangle. Thanks for the heads up!

Kat | 334 comments No problem!

Vampire Academy - Richelle Mead
The Crystor - C.K. Bryant
The Captive - Erica Stevens

Adele Jones | 8 comments The first book in Skye Melki-Wegner's Agent Nomad series, didn't have romance, has a fresh angle on the magic theme and was a fast-paced read. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
