Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4031 comments To keep me company, I had mango panna. Not sure how many of you are familiar with what that is. It's cold and tangy and yummm, made of raw mangoes, perfect for a hot summer day like this. :)

Hi Casceil - here it is:

http://www.elanaspantry.com/brownies/

My body doesn't like sugar either, so instead of the honey, I use three ripe bananas and leave out the chocolate chips. It tastes wonderful. But I'm sure it's good with no changes! That is a terrific site for GF treats of all kinds.

message 33: by Almeta (new)

Almeta (menfrommarrs) | 11458 comments Debra just cooked a couple of filet mignon and onions. Pouring Bloody Marys now!

I am also having Internet connection trouble Pragya! Not had any problems for ages and it chooses today to start playing up! This is the first time in nearly 5 hours that I have been able to get a decent connection. Technology eh?

Janice (jamasc) | 59948 comments I know! Maybe I'll stop for lunch at Humpty's in Whitecourt on my way home today and succumb to the temptation.

Kat (katzombie) | 2478 comments I think my backside has permanently moulded to the sofa. But do I care?

Now for a break to make dinner. Yes, I'm cooking - watch out!

Laura (apenandzen) | 3370 comments I just want to thank J'mom for approving Still Life with Bread Crumbs for the Retire task. Wonderful, wonderful book. Who knows when I'd have got to it, if it hadn't been for the Toppler? ♥

message 43: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3260 comments JMom just wanted to say at the start of Toppler Day 2- how smoothly this Toppler is going! Lots of great reading going on and plenty of fun too.

message 46: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 2478 comments Ok that's dinner done! We are still alive (for now!).

Not really the best choice to have chicken meatballs and pasta on a warm day but it was a hit.

Mine didn't look quite so neat as this though photo Chicken-and-parsley-meatballs-with-classic-tomato-sauce-hero-6e913956-49b1-4df7-9149-0588df7e8f27-0-472x310-d6de9027-f9ee-48_zps12966da9.jpg

Strange cultural fact - I find it impossible to buy chicken mince in this country - the closest I can get is a combined chicken and turkey mince, which makes it taste quite different.

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4031 comments All your food talk and I keep getting distracted. I have been scouring all the group pages but not getting any reading done. :(

Lisa, hope things are getting better for you.

message 50: by jaxnsmom (new)

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments Well, Callie and I just got back from the emergency vet. It took an hour this morning before she was able to stand up. I knew I wouldn't have a chance to get to the regular vet for a few days, so off we ent. Looks like she might have vertigo. Which I find really funny since I had it for a few days last week. If it is vertigo, the vet said it should go away in a week or so. I hope that's what it is, since alternatives are deep inner ear infection or brain tumor. Got her some medication, and we'll see how it goes. I did listen to a book during part of my wait :)
