I’m trying to find my author ID also, but I am not having any luck.

I’m using the goodreads widget on my word press self-hosted site.
Aha, that explains it! Unfortunately our widgets don't work correctly on WordPress. This is because WordPress does not support JavaScript, which our widgets need to function correctly.I'm sorry I couldn't help more, but please let me know if you have any other questions!

They do, however, offer their own Goodreads widget, but we don't offer support for this on our side:

Jaclyn, I see now. They just don't allow imports of Javascript items. But their website is done in Javascript, just like everyone else's.
I see my snip did not make through to your website. Here it is again, but without the angle brackets that were probably the culprit that blocked it: script type="text/javascript."
If the author ID isn't directing to your profile, please can you let me know where you're entering this so I can have a closer look.
