Akaria Gale | 21 comments I'm looking for UF or PNR books featuring a Highlander hero/heroine. Shifters, ghosts, fae...it's all good. Would prefer no time travel and/or M/M. Sci-Fi elements or a historical are good. IR/Multi-culti or a plus size heroine would be awesome. LOL...is that picky enough for ya? :)

Authors I like: Patricia Briggs (Alpha & Omega), Nalini Singh (Guild Hunter), Larissa Ione (Demonica), Octavia Butler (everything she's ever written including discarded grocery lists), Ann Aguirre (Sirantha Jax), Gena Showalter (LOTU), Lara Adrian (Midnight Breed)

Authors I DO NOT like: JR Ward, Karen Moning

Thanks guys!

Robin (rockin_robin) | 81 comments Have you tried Terry Spears? Some of her wolf shifter stories feature male wolf shifters in Scotland.

Rebecca | 24 comments Ooh, love all those authors! I would look into Hannah Howell. She writes regular historicals, but she has several books out with PNR highlanders, which include other authors like Lynsay Sands and Victoria Dahl. Here are a few I own:
Highland Thirst (MacNachton Vampires, #4) by Hannah Howell

Highland Beast (MacNachton Vampires, #6) by Hannah Howell

The Eternal Highlander (MacNachton Vampires #1) by Hannah Howell

Rachel Chanticleer (rachelchanticleer) | 44 comments Kerrigan Byrne's Highland Historical trilogy featuring sexy berserkers is a fave of mine. ☺

Unspoken (The MacLauchlans, #1) by Kerrigan Byrne Unwilling (The MacLauchlans, #2) by Kerrigan Byrne Unwanted (The MacLauchlans, #3) by Kerrigan Byrne

Myst | 108 comments How about some modern day vampires where all the security guys are basically old scotsmen who always wear kilts. It's a fluff series, but it's really quite amusing at times. There were about 15 books in the series.

How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire (Love at Stake, #1) by Kerrelyn Sparks

Amyiw | 177 comments Ward and Moning have this tendency to leave their readers hanging so is this your dislike?.... do you dislike Moning for Fever and her cliffhangers. I'm reading Fever with a group and can say honestly I would never continue the series if I wasn't reading with a group and I would never recommend it. Yet her Highlanders don't do that cliffhanger ending. Even though, the first 2 book (#2 is horrible) are NOT worth reading, 4-7 are some of my favorite books. I'm glad I started with 7 and went straight to 4-6 (the characters were in #7). I then went to 1 & 2 and couldn't believe I was in the same series other than Adam was there in #1.

I want to love Fever but DONT but KMM's last 4 highlander books lead me to Sherrilyn Kenyon and from her to Patricia Briggs, Nalini Singh, and Ilona Andrews. So I have a soft spot for the last 4 of KMM's Highlanders. Started me into the UF/PNR genre.
