I hope he is, but Eli sounds like the Golden Boy
and victor sounds like the jealous "why can't I be lucky like him" villain that wants to hold the good guy back......or hurt others because he's mad or something
do you get that feeling?

this book is so easy to read! I really like it!

Eli(view spoiler)[ I really am torn. the story of him trying to kill Sydney and him killing the other EO's.....it's wrong. He doesn't get to pick who's "talents" are okay or not. (hide spoiler)]

Victor(view spoiler)[ but he is definitely a dark individual. I love that he's not your typical Hero - I don't even think he wants to be the hero, he just hates that Eli is trying to be the golden boy....and he's not (hide spoiler)]

how dark all the characters were. Victor was, at the heart, a good guy or at least kind of. He recognized right and wrong.

where Eli had decided to warp religion and god to meet his own narrative - which was that he was the hero of the story!

and I'm glad Sydney didn't have to see what happened to her. that was well planned on Victor's part. Serena was just as twisted as she seemed (hide spoiler)]

I will definitely read book 2. I can't wait to see what you think of it!
