Hi all, I'm new to Goodreads and have a question about something I seem to have done wrong! I was adding my other books to my profile, and when I went to add this book (Halloween Hauntings), I noticed that there were a few spaces between my first and last names in the form (pre-filled in of course). Not knowing any better I changed it to one space, which I now assume means I changed it to a "different" name. So now the book isn't under my profile (i.e., on my dashboard as one of my books), though it's listed on Goodreads. When I try to add it back in it says I can't because someone else wrote it (or something to that effect)...that someone else being Tim Foster (with one space). I snooped around and couldn't figure out how to undo my mistake, can someone point me in the right direction or let me know what to do? Thank you!

Fixed. Your profile has 6 spaces between Tim and Foster. Adding extra spaces is the way GR can disambiguate authors with the same name and keep the books by an author together.

Tim, we encourage authors (and users) to ask all questions of this nature in the Goodreads Librarians Group where many helpful volunteers assist with these types of changes. In the future you may find it a great resource for book or author page edits.

I have a book showing up on my page showing me as the author. The other author and I share the same name but that's it. I have tried to have it removed with no luck. My book shows up and that's cool, but I don't want to claim credit for something someone else wrote.
