What is your favourite element to read about in a novel? What topic do you wish someone would write a story about? Who knows, maybe one of the authors here already has!

Ian Miller | 23 comments Ryan, I can tell you from the experience of having written one, long epics do not sell very well at all.

Matia ben Ephraim | 7 comments As it happens, Ryan, a long slow immersive epic is exactly what I wrote! If you'd care to read and review The Wizard of Kharathad, I could email you a free PDF.

Chris Sarantopoulos | 3 comments For me, it's darker settings and noir-style narration. When I combine that with cyberpunk (and even other sci fi sub-genres), the result is something that grips me and doesn't let go. In particular, I draw your attention to Richard K. Morgan's Altered Carbon.
