Mythical Haven discussion

Nox waved his arms wide. "Home sweet home. Let's hope my neighbors decided to mind their own business today."

"Obviously. Let's get everyone inside." Nox glanced at Merlin. "Don't catch anything on fire and we should be fine."

Nox pushed open the double doors and waved them in with a bow. "Welcome to Cabin de Nox. I dunno if that's the right way to say it but it's close enough."

"Glad its satisfactory." Nox rolled his eyes. "If you hear a knock anywhere or voices inside, inform me immediately so I can make them go away. My neighbors find joy in coming over and telling me how I need to get a girlfriend so she can help me fix my hideous decoration patterns."

"They're a few miles off because this forest is massive, but with panther forms two or three miles at a sprint is like fifteen minutes. And there's like five guest rooms so take your pick." Nox shrugged.

"Loads. I've only read like three of them. They kids came with the house."

"In the library," Nox said like it was obvious.

"In the house." Nox grinned.

"Mmmm yeah they would." Nox smirked. "It's down the hall. The door is always open so it'd be hard to miss."

((Nope! FTW! FOR THE WIN!))

"Careful though. Some of the books bite," Nox warned. "I have scars to prove it."

Nox pet the dragon's head. "Aww little kitten dragon."

Nox chuckled and pat Arthur's head. "For good reason," he said to Merlin.

"Ideas are welcome. Whaddya got?" Nox asked, sitting up abruptly.

"Oh. Well that's great. Demons suck." Nox wrinkled his nose.

"I don't think he was trying to keep you from hearing," Nox called back. "Any ideas on how we keep him safe?"

"Taking care of a five year old is probably easier than taking care of a five war old dragon. But I don't have any experience so I have no idea." Nox shrugged.

"How do we find someone who knows what they're doing?" Nox wondered aloud.

((Totally gonna make a sorceress that has a crush on Nox))

Nox grimaced. "I mean... I do... but she's... not really a person I wanna visit..."

"Do you know anyone that could taint his bloodstream then?" Nox asked Freedom.

"Friend is a strong word," Nox hedged. "She's a pretty powerful sorceress but... she's got a quirk."

Nox sighed and ran his hands down his face. "Good good. That's enough to completely change my entire appearance, human and panther."

"So, do you want a big room or a cozy room?" Nox asked. "And by cozy I mean small."

"Coolio. Imma go shave half my head and blind my left eye." Nox gave her a thumbs up and walked towards his room. "The open doors are the available ones. If anything is locked don't try to open it because chances are there's a hideous beast that can eat your face."

Nox went to his room and stared at himself in the mirror in the connecting bathroom. He didn't actually have any idea- wait no he did too his neighbors were always trying to change him He rummaged through his junk drawer and found colored eye contacts and hair dye of every color. He grinned and went to work.

Nox was still busy dying his eyes and hair so skip frame over to Freedom again.

Nox finished his hair and eyes and all the things and stared at himself in the mirror. He grinned, pleased with his masterpiece, then went to sleep so we can time skip to morning.

Nox, however, was pleased to say that he actually woke up first. He was up sitting on a little balcony on his roof and watching the sky. He heard rustling down on the ground and looked to see Freedom. He didn't feel like talking, so he left her be and continued watching the shifting hues of the sky.

Nox waited longer, until the sky was the shade of blue it'd likely be for the rest of the day. He turned into a panther and slunk down his roof, landing lightly on the ground.

"Oh Noxy dear!" Chirped a female voice from the edge of the forest.

Nox startled and looked that way. Sure enough. "Go away Selene! I'm not going on another blind date even if you shoot me with a tranquilizer and drag me there!" He darted into the, changed into his human form, and shut and locked the door. He also pulled shut the curtains for extra measure.

"No. She's the one trying to set me up with admirers," Nox grumbling, then turned to face Freedom with a grin. "Whaddya think?" He asked, gesturing at his spiked blue hair and yellow eyes.

"Well I'm worried about it too for multiple reasons, none of which I think are why you're worrying." Nox shrugged. "So, why I you worrying about it?"

((*sighs* yep))

Nox frowned and walked over to pat Arthur's head. "Why are you so biiiig?" He asked the dragon.

Nox nodded. "Yes I learned that a while ago. You get fantasy fact and fantasy fantasy mixed up and then you end up exploding someone's house because you forgot that eye of newt actually is an essential ingredient in most potions."

"There's always the human option. I'm sure (sorceress's name because I forgot it) could help with that too. She's freaky." Nox shrugged.

"It might not result in messed up human growing, it might stunt his dragon growth so he grew slower." Nox grabbed an apple from a fruit basket and started chomping on it.

"Unless he turns into like a six year old, in which case you'll have to insert that you're not his mother. And even then you'll be like a sister," Nox put in.

"Does he know how to defend himself in dragon form?" Nox asked uncertainly. It didn't seem like he did...

"That is a good point. But, he'll only be four or five so he's still got a while to learn.."

"Okay okay. Well lets go then." Nox finished his apple and threw the core away.

"Stop calling me that." Nox wrinkled his nose and started walking and can we just like make what's her name's tower and poof over there?

((Fun! I forgot her name but could yah make her home thread like "(whatever her name is)'s Sorcery Tower"? I've got an appearance for it and everything!))

Nox rolled his eyes and scowled. "The hair dye was trying to prevent remarks like that," he grumbled.
