I just finished A Night to Surrender

I just finished A Night to Surrender

Yay! I'm glad to hear you liked it!

I just finished A Night to Surrender

LOVE this series!!! I'm up to #5 now and they are ALL this good!

I finished a second rec of yours, a new to me title- The One In My Heart. I loved it! Thanks so much for introducing me to a new author. This book was so well written, an..."
Just saw this - YAAAAY Fran!! SO glad you enjoyed this one! I was surprised because I usually don't like first person narratives, but this one was wonderful! Glad you liked it too :)

Thank you so much for recommending Wallbanger to me! I liked it - until the last few chapters, but overall enjoyed the entertainment of this book. So thank you for the recommendation!
Now for Outlander and The Duke Can Go to the Devil is on deck... might make it by next week...

I just finished A Night to Surrender

I am definitely planning to read more in this series because I LOVED this one!

I just finished A Night to Surrender

I really liked

Colin's character was so much fun (and a bit of an @$$hole, but he comes a LONG way for Min - and I related to Min so much! Enjoy!

I've read the following 6 books from the list:
Naked in Death This is an amazing book. Thanks for making me finally read it. I ended up reading the next seven books in the series. ★★★★
Royally Screwed I liked this is a lot. ★★★★
Simply Irresistible I couldn't connect with the h. I liked the H and the town. ★★
Easy Interesting read. I liked the MCs and some of the supporting characters. Thankfully, it wasn't overly dramatic. ★★★★
Enforcer Not a bad read. ★★★
The Darkest Hour I loved this book. Those Kelly brothers are awesome. I'm definitely going to read the rest of the books in this series. Thank you for recommending it! ★★★★★

I'm sorry to admit, though, that I tried to read The Comfort of Lies but wasn't really getting into the book. I gave up after only 50 pages.
Disappointed after that, I'm happy to say that I enjoyed the next book I chose that was a new one you suggested. I just finished At the Water's Edge. I was hesitant to pick it up because of the mixed reviews, but I enjoyed it (getting it done in two days). I'm glad I took the chance and read it.
Thanks for the suggestions!

Finally read

I'm sorry you found it disappointing but I'm glad you enjoyed the other.

But the one I did finish was

Now for Outlander... if i can just patiently read it instead of cheating and watching the tv series... lol!!

I have finished three books from the list:
Outlander was an intresting read. I did not love the book but it was rather enjoying and beautifully detailed. Reading next books in the series.
Dead Until Dark is a book that i have read 50% a year ago but forgot to add to DNF. Now i just somehow finished it and i still do not like it.
Scars and Stripes good enough for a ten minute read.😅

Got a 2nd pick in

going to try to get one more in.....it will have to be a quickie! ;)

Thanks so much for the picks this month! I managed to read 6 books from your recommendations.
Scottish Terrier
🐾 New: Capture Me by Anna Zaires (02/05) ★★★ - dark and wickedly delicious. This is a new author to me but I like the precis of the book. I'll be getting the other two books in the "series" because I'm curious to see what Lucas does with his prisoner and whether she'll break or not...
🐾 TBR: Stepbrother Dearest by Penelope Ward (14/05) ★★ - grateful to have this off my TBR list. It has confirmed that I'm not a fan of Penelope Ward unless she is writing with Vi Keeland. Typical storyline with the taboo factor. Far too much back and forth, to the point of annoyance. But at least it's done and dusted.
Wheaten Terrier
🐾 TBR: Any Time, Any Place by Jennifer Probst (05/05) ★★★ - loved delving back into the Pierce brothers lives. This book follows the youngest brothers story of love, forgiveness and understanding. I learnt a lot about woodwork and astronomy. I look forward to reading the next one in the series.
Toy Fox Terrier
🐾 TBR: Settling the Score by R.S. Grey (10/05) ★★ - way too much drama. Page after page I was like how the heck do they find to compete at the Olympics with all this drama in their lives. I enjoyed the other book in the series and thought this would be just as good. No siree. But at least it's off the TBR pile ☺
🐾 TBR: Hawk's Property by Chiah Wilder (30/05) ★ - This was not as enjoyable as I thought it would be. The way the motorcycle club members referred to woman was deplorable. Some of things that happened at their parties was disturbing. The back and forth between the two main MCs was irritating and ridiculous. I had high hopes for this since I enjoy MC themed books but not this one.
Staffordshire Bull Terrier
🐾 TBR: Ex Games by Stella Rhys (17/05) ★★★ - took me awhile to get into it but it was worth it in the end. I love the hate-to-love trope and this had added drama with the brothers. I would have preferred dual POV but it is what it is. Another one off my TBR list!

Finished my 3rd and final pick for this month

I may continue with the series!
Thanks again for the great picks!!

Currently reading a 4th book

Thanks again for the recs Ashley

Thanks for the pick. I liked it but I didn't love the book I read but it's been on my TBR for quite some time so I'm glad to have gotten it read.

One more TBR down and now I am on to The Wall of Winnipeg and Me.... Outlander is going to carry into June... LOL!

The outlander series gets better.

I only managed to read one pick, but it had been on my TBR for years, so thanks so much for the push.

Sorry you didn't love it, but it is always good to get something off the TBR!

The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn 5.9.17 - I am so glad these books came out in audio so I can finally read them!
Royally Screwed by Emma Chase 5.11.17 - So good!
Second Grave on the Left by Darynda Jones 5.16.17 - Finally getting on board this series!
Possession in Death by J.D. Robb 5.19.17 - Another good one!
The Thing About Love by Julie James 5.21.17 - I love her writing!
Blonde Date by Sarina Bowen 5.25.17 - So sweet!
Garrett by Sawyer Bennett 5.31.17 - What an emotional ride, we needed that epilogue set in the future!

Hi Gozie...I'm glad you found some winners! I have to say, both the In Death series and the KGI series are among my all-time favorites too, so I'm happy you loved them as much as I do!

Thanks again for the great picks! I ended up reading 5, liked them all and loved most of them. Here's what I ended up with:

I'm glad I helped you get something off your TBR :)

Unfortunately, I didn't get to read any of your picks :( I hope I will get to some of them this month, though!

☑ Claimings, Tails, and Other Alien Artifacts (5/2) ★★★½

☑ Empire of Storms (5/15) ★★★★★
There's a couple more like "Winter" that I should get to this month too. :)

I only got to finish one book from my picks. I thought I got to more but all I did was download them but they're short ones so will definitely read them :)
