Ora (oeamis) I signed up for DQs for Ash and Quill (The Great Library #3) by Rachel Caine . I haven't read the series so it looks like I will be listening to the audios between now and the 16th.

Has the mods decided when to post information about this. All I have seen are DQs for Ash and Quill

That's all I've seen too. There isn't any further info in the Captains Group either.

I haven't read the series and I don't think I'd be able to read all three books of the series, if I could even get to start it at all. I've been busy with school.

All the good movies are coming out lately when there wasn't a lot of them for the past few months that is my summer vacation. Life is unfair.

I reread the newsletter and looked at the buddy read to see what was going on since the mods haven't said anything more than that.

No. It was just not my type of book I would normally read. I really didn't like Lo and struggled with reading it before I had to return it to my library today.

Not yet. I am waiting to see if I get DQs to determine if I am going to buy the kindle edition or the audio. At least for me it's easier to write questions reading the book and being able to go back and reread a portion I am thinking about asking about.

I would've gone with 5 stars for all the literary & historical references, but that very reason made it extra long a just a bit tedious. Great story all in all.

Ora (oeamis) Looks like we are out of luck for DQs for Trader's Blade. Maybe we will have more luck with Flame in the Mist.
So far only three people have signed up for DQs for Ash and Quill. I believe that one starts on the 16th. If I remember correctly if there are not enough teams signed up then more than one team member from the same team can get DQs.

I am so glad we have such a great lead. We are awesome!!!
I think I may have a bit of an audio slump. I woke up this morning and couldn't find the desire to start listening to anything. I have a book I really want to reread, so I hope that's all it is.

July Mini-Challenge Update:

Sonia was supposed to be working on this but was overloaded at work.

Due to this the Author Q&A will now be accepting questions until 16th July. I think we already have what we need in order to qualify for points for this part thanks to Angie but if you are interested in asking Rachel Caine a question then you still have time.

Sonia also said that she would be doing some more work on this hopefully today and will let us know more about what is happening soon.

We can also get points for reviewing any of the Great Library series in July.....from July to the end of TT.

**Edit**

message 893: by Ora (new)

Angie ☯ | 3092 comments @Ora - let me find that post from Sonia - I don't want to mislead you.

I signed up for DQ's too, but it looks like others are signing up now.

I thought I would re-read all of these and do the reviews, I didn't do them when I first read them.

message 895: by Angie ☯ (last edited Jul 10, 2017 03:13PM) (new)

Angie ☯ | 3092 comments Finally found where I read that!! Pigletto posted it here, from the captains group. But I don't think there has been an actual details post - only saw something in the Q&A thread.

Here was what was shared; it was posted July 4 -

"Just a heads up, we're going to have a mini-event during July, to celebrate the new instalment of The Great Library series by Rachel Caine.

Details will be up tomorrow, but, since you all will want some tips, reading (and reviewing) any book of the series during July (from July first till the end of tower teams) or participating in the Q&A thread will be rewarded by extra points."

But - Sonia is supposed to update the July Mini-Challenge soon....see post # 1027
