Ora (oeamis) @Ashley
I finished. The second half was so much better than the first. I loved Jest and his sneaky courting.
I guess it wasn't surprising Jest died since Catherine wouldn't have lost her heart if she and Jest had their HEA.
I did like that The Queen of Hearts was not born evil but created by a series of events.
I have to say that MM does a wonderful job in getting you to feel/understand more about the villain when you get their back story. At least with Catherine I felt bad for her more so than I ever did with Levana.
Is it bad that I think Catherine should not have gone back for Mary Anne? Maybe I'm holding a grudge, but telling her parents everything about Jest was not right.

I agree, I got sucked in about half way through. I found it very strange that all of a sudden Catherine's parents "just want her to be happy". Are you kidding me?? They were pushing her towards the king the whole time and now that her true love is dead, they want her to be happy.
I'm just so pleasantly surprised how great a job MM does creating a creative and different story, but still sticking to the original.

I really think they couldn't tell the difference of wanting her happy and their own goals.
I can't wait to see what else she has planned. I love her writing. I am hoping whatever comes next will be in the science fiction/dystopian genre.

Ora (oeamis) I am not sure how much reading I will get done this weekend. My husband and I are going up to Ohio this afternoon to take my sister her cat. Since I will be going with my husband I won't be listening audios while driving.
I'm not sure if I will be reading Flame in the Mist. I have been #2 on 5 copies for over a week and have no idea if I will get before then end of the month.

Sorry Ora, fell asleep last night. I agree. I love her writing. I'll read anything she puts out there, but I did like The Lunar Chronicles better.

"Read & Review and Q&A were supposed to be on a special tab, override it on the BOM thread can be a quicker solution... let me think about for a bit :)

All team members can participate on the Read & Review."

I wish they would just sort this out. We've only got a few days left.

Ang Figgy-Pudding wrote: " Do we override it in the BOM tab then?"

She hasn't made up her mind yet as to what we should do for the read and review points. The possibility of just using the BOM tab was raised by other players. I think it would be an easier way to go as it took so long to get the discussion threads up. How long will it take to go into each spreadsheet and set up a new tab with scoring system and then test. Then there are bound to be issues and things not working.

Traitor's Blade is already on the BOM tab.

We're still waiting to hear how the points should be recorded for the read and review books.

It's still not clear whether we are going to get a separate tab to enter the extra points for these books or not. I'll take a look at some other spreadsheets when I get home. If other teams have been entering the DQ points in the BOM tab I'll do the same.

Ora (oeamis) I need to start reading Flame in the Mist and at least answer day one DQs. I thought we had until the end of the weekend. I got distracted with the Alpha and Omega series from Patricia Briggs when I was planning on starting it.
