Ora (oeamis) I love Robin Williams!!!

Become invisible.

Would you rather go backpack around Europe or go to a tropical island?

Invisible I am more of a lurker than a flyer. Besides I'm afraid of heights:)

♦Ashley♦ (ascherger12gmailcom) | 1131 comments I'm a fan of his as well, I can't believe he's gone!

I would definitely rather go to a tropical island. My ideal vacations are relaxing ones where I can read, listen to music and lay in the sun. I'm not a big fan of site seeing vacations.

Would you rather be able to hear any conversation or take back anything you say?

That one is hard. I think I will go with hear any conversation, even if once something is heard it cannot be unheard. I try to say something I won't regret, which is a lot easier when I'm not angry.

message 156: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) Would you rather lose your sight or hearing?

Stacey Kennedy | 250 comments Aww love Robin....
Invisible for sure!! So much info out there.....
SInce this is theoretical I would like to backpack around Europe (ONLY IF I could shower daily;)). Yeah, one of those....
I'll go with take back whatever I said- I find I want to hear less and less of other people's conversations these days!!!

haha Stacey! I agree, I don't really give a damn about other people's conversations either.

oooo Ora that one is hard!!! I think I would rather loose my hearing. I couldn't imagine not being able to read, even though I would be able to listen to audio books. Plus I think American Sign Language is very beautiful and would love to learn it.

message 160: by Eunice (new)

Eunice | 666 comments I'm still in high school. 11th grade.

For the question, I'd rather with losing my hearing. Being blindfolded feels much scarier than muffling my ears.

And for the earlier one, where you would want to go backpacking, I would go with Europe. I live in a tropical country, and the hot weather all year round is killing me, especially in the summer.

message 161: by ChrisP (new)

ChrisP Poyner | 67 comments It would rather be blind folded I love to hear my friends jabs and jab back. My family is similar to who's line is it anyway.

Would you rather live in the past or the future?

message 162: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) I think I would prefer living in the past as long as it is not too far in the past. This month I have been reading a lot of historicals and love Regency, Victorian and Edwardian Eras. As far as living in the past, the late Victorian to Edwardian Era because of certain modern conveniences that I don't think I could give up. I think it would be exciting to see how the world evolved during the Industrial Revolution.

message 163: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) Definitely kids with no money. I love my kids and can't imagine life without them even if it meant living paycheck to paycheck or getting assistance.

Ora (oeamis) I just saw Ashley was chosen for DQs for The Circle. I guess with mine and Ang Figgy-Puddy at the bottom that we are back ups.

I just purchased the book. I'm waffling on hoping if it's good or not. If it is, it really is going to hard reading only so many pages each day to stay with everyone and answer questions.

I could easily never speak again! There's far too much to read! I am very chatty, but I could communicate online and through text. That would fulfill my needs. Maybe I'd finally write my novel...

Snakes. Definitely. I have no problems with touching them, picking them up, and I like that they EAT SPIDERS!"

Totally agree!!!!

Stacey Kennedy | 250 comments ♦Ashley♦ wrote: "Would you rather always have to say everything on your mind or never speak again?"

I would have to go with say everything on my mind. That way i would have to be very conscious of my thoughts, which would be a positive thing!
And- I'd touch a snake, no problem. I mean, I don't go out hunting them in the yard or anything but NO WAY I am voluntarily eating a spider!

message 176: by ♦Ashley♦ (new)

♦Ashley♦ (ascherger12gmailcom) | 1131 comments Would you rather be itchy for the rest of your life or sticky for the rest of your life?

message 178: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) I must have misread read it earlier because I was thinking I wouldn't want to eat either especially anything live. Snakes are cool and as long as a handler is there I would touch it.

I have hyoerneuropathy in feet. When it acts up it can be anywhere from a slight tickle to extremely itchy to biting feeling so I would go with sticky. I would not wish the itchy feeling on anyone.

message 179: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1723 comments I can deal with sticky. I don't necessarily like it, but I am frequently sticky. Menopause sucks big time. Itchy would drive me nuts!!

Would you rather act in a play or sing The National Anthem at a stadium in front of thousands of sports fans??

message 180: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) Act in a play, especially if it's a comedy so if you mess hopefully it would wind up being funny. I think singing the National Anthem I would give Rosanne Barr a run for worse singer.

Ora (oeamis) During wobble and the last TT I learned about several different venues with getting books which has increased the amount of books I read/listen to. Does anyone have a favorite source they like to use?

I love using kindle unlimited and overdrive. I also use hoopla and oneclickdigital if that is the only place I can find a book.

I also like overdrive and hoopla. I use bookbub as well. Its a site that sends you discounted books. That's where I get all my free books. Amazon also has prime books if you're a prime member, there's less selection than kindle unlimited, but I already pay for prime, so it's a bonus for me.

message 183: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) I love bookbub! I recently signed up for goodreads deals and have found discounted books there too.

message 184: by Alison (new)

Alison (a1ison74) | 2826 comments Bookbub is evil and just encourages my book buying addiction (I just bought two today) :D

Love overdrive and even my local library particularly for YA. I swear no one ever uses that section.

If you're happy to post reviews for books. I'd also recommend NetGalley. Advance copies for free although you often have to get approved by the publisher for big new releases.

message 185: by ♦Ashley♦ (new)

♦Ashley♦ (ascherger12gmailcom) | 1131 comments I also recently signed up for Audiofile. You get 2 free audio books per week. It's marked towards teens, but I like YA so I signed up and downloaded my first book today. I'm not sure if it will end up being more of a pain in the ass. You have to install the Overdrive for windows or mac onto your computer and they are stored there, then you move them to your listening device. However, you do get to keep the audio books forever.

I have a ton of freebie books on my kindle, but I never seem to read many of them.

Eunice | 666 comments I'm from the Philippines. Since it's summer now, it's 33 degrees Celsius here.

I use bookbub and Kindle too. There's so many free books there. I also download some books and listen to audiobooks from this SMS called VK. Though I guess it's kind of illegal.

message 196: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) Shhhh...we won't tell. Never heard of VK.

I only remember 25 and 37 degrees Celsius from labs, so 33 must feel really nice if the humidity isn't too high yet.

Does anyone have plans this weekend?
I was planning on taking my time reading my last book of the month but it looks like I will either change what I am reading or hide tomorrow so I can read since I found out a couple hours ago my husband and I are going to spend Sunday on lake with his some of his friends from work.
