Ora (oeamis) So I have been waiting for DQs all day. Is it me or does it seem a little late for them to be posted. I was considering asking in the thread if they were going to be posted today but not sure if I should.

I wouldn't it's only afternoon/early evening in the US. Most people posting go by their time zone. The person posting will probably have been at work today and might still be there.

Alison (a1ison74) | 2826 comments Good to know. I've been wanting to see Guardians but was waiting till it calmed down a bit. Busy cinemas drive me nuts.

Me too! We went to a show in the afternoon so it wasn't as busy.

Alison (a1ison74) | 2826 comments I finished Spandex and the City last night. It's 4am here and I'm on the app so can post details later if it doesn't pull through to spreadsheet.

message 309: by Alison (new)

Alison (a1ison74) | 2826 comments That's my usual plan Ashley. Random day off in the middle of the week and go during the day. Sometimes you get the whole cinema to yourself.

I think I do have a book hangover. I really enjoyed my last book and having a hard time getting into anything else. Kind of sucks since the book I'm currently reading is from a author I enjoy. I probably should have just started the next one in the series but I want to wait to see if it will work for another challenge that I can't start reading for until Monday.

Hope you have a good weekend. I feel productive since my husband and I already have our yard work done.

I hate book hangovers. Or at least my form of hangover. When I like a particular series (or movie), I have an urge to search for fanfics. Sometimes, I get some form of "relapse" when I sift through fanfics from old books I read. I actually just got out of the fanfic phase recently, which is why I haven't been able to read any actual book. I'm going to start reading a book this weekend.

And hope you enjoy yours Ashley. And everyone else here too!

I never realized the movie was a book adaptation until I saw the BOM. I'm planning on watching the movie first, then read the book. We can join in DQs as long as it's in the same month, right? Even if I don't follow the dates?

message 315: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) Yes you just need to read during the month. in msg 325 Pigletto explains BOMs and points.

I can see that you've added The Scorpio Races to your shelf and rated it but there is no read date. Without that it won't upload to the spreadsheet. If you've finished it can you add a read date. Thanks

message 323: by Alison (new)

Alison (a1ison74) | 2826 comments Don't know if it's just me but for some reason when I'm on the app mark a book as finished it's not recording a read date automatically anymore. I keep having to go back and add one. I don't remember having to do that before.

I think there's a few bugs going round re setting a date read. The newest one seems to be setting the date via the app but it recording tomorrow's date instead of today's.

I have noticed when I finish a book on Amazon it automatically updates that I had read it on Goodreads. I don't like that. It pulls the wrong edition many times and I have to go back through and fix it.

And, unlike GOtT and Gone Girl, I'm not the only one to feel that way about this one! Frustrating main character.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was a cold blooded survivor. I loved her character. She never apologized for what needed to be done.
