I'm a new Adventist, looking for things to read. I know it's late in the year, so I may have missed the boat to read and discuss this year's book list.I could not find the Brenda Walsh title as listed above. However, I did find the similarly named book "Between Hell and High Water", which I assume is what was meant. Have I found the right book?

I am 51 year-old American immigrant, raised in Canada from the age of two, so essentially Canadian, but with ties to the US. I have watched what has happened over the past year south of the border with dismay, and am particularly distressed that very few discussions of the issues between opposing sides are productive. For the past year, Alden Thompson's "Beyond Common Ground" has been on my ereader and my personal book list to read, and in light of these recent events that concern me happening in the US, I'm now seeking to read it with others who would like to study and discuss it with me. Would you please consider adding this to the 2018 reading list for this club?

I'm happy you found us. I'll definitely look up your book suggestion and may add it to next year's list. As for this book list, you found the correct "From Hell to High Water." The other Brenda Walsh book, "Passionate Prayer," can be from at this link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
There's a good chance that some of the books from this list will end up on next year's list due to popular demand or because we did not get a chance to read them as planned.
