Hi guys :D
I actually don't have too many planned yet, but these are the ones I'm thinking of:
Ice Like Fire (Snow Like Ashes, #2) by Sara Raasch - 5th
Gemina (The Illuminae Files, #2) by Amie Kaufman - 7th
Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3) by Richelle Mead The Problem Child (The Sisters Grimm, #3) by Michael Buckley Private (Private, #1) by Kate Brian Ali's Pretty Little Lies (Pretty Little Liars, #0.5) by Sara Shepard The Magicians (The Magicians #1) by Lev Grossman The Wide Window (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #3) by Lemony Snicket

I've already started Problem Child and Ice like Fire, so I'll just be finishing this next month. There'll definitely be some others along the way too. Oh also maybe City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) by Cassandra Clare

We can use each task more than once each, right? Or what? I'm slightly confused.

message 8: by Sophie (new)

Sophie Katrani (sophiekatrani) | 228 comments I think each one of us can use each task once.

message 9: by Sophie (new)

Sophie Katrani (sophiekatrani) | 228 comments Also I am not sure but i think we get 10 points when we complete each task. That is every time at least one player completes a task right?
The tasks that I plan to complete first are from part one bullying, letters B A and T in title, boarding school, brown cover and a book that the character's name starts with A. From part 2 I have a book featuring an orphan and a book about past/ future.
How about you guys?

message 10: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53686 comments Mod
I think each task can be done 4 times, but I also thought that we could complete each game 3 times? So I'm not sure how that works..

message 11: by Sophie (new)

Sophie Katrani (sophiekatrani) | 228 comments Yeah I'm not sure either. Anyway I hope the others will check in soon and we'll figure it out

I don't know XD I'll just read my books and hope they fit :p

With the spell-outs, does it have to be titles used? Or can it be characters in books too?

My first book is The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern which can count for book set in past (set in 1890-1910)

The 800 pages sounds easy... Does that mean that 1 person must read all 800 pages, or can we pair up with our team members? I'll ask this in Q&A too.

Oh yeah basically all of my books are BRs. So Night Circus also counts for a BR.

N in JUMANJI. I think I'll use it for this one, seeing as this one seems kind of tricky.. I'll use my next read All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr for historical :) I think. I'll check out the tasks for that later on when I get to it.

Alright so I think I'll make a list as well and put people's names next to their tasks :) I want to make a spreadsheet but I have no idea how to do that XD So when people post I'll just update the task on this thread.

Would you guys mind only posting 1 task for each book? That way we can see what tasks aren't getting attention :)

This was the answer to my JUMANJI question: For the Jumanji you read one book for each letter and get the points for that one book. If your team reads all 7 letters than you get the bonus points.

So maybe we should all work together to complete this spell-out? I've got one J we can use for it, but not too sure if it's worth completing this one or just doing the easier tasks.. Also thought someone could only read 1 book per task? Maybe not for this one.

message 32: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments I was thinking the same thing but I have a few options on each book. I know that last time I did this challenge we could ask Sarah to change things around to complete the part the first time if we needed to.

I'm looking at part 1 and it looks like we don't have any options for these descriptions yet:

- Read a book set in a boarding school
- Pick a playing piece – read a book with an animal on the cover (The sisters Grimm book with the dragon might count though - love that series (:)

So that's not bad at all.

So for me here's the books with one task to make things easier:

Don't You Cry - Part 3 - We lost the game! Read a book in which someone goes missing.

#Antisocial - Part 3 - (Aly) Help! I’m turning into a monkey! Read a book starting with one of your teammates initials to save them! (Each teammate’s initial can only be used once!)

One Moment - Part 3 - There be a monsoon in your lagoon! Read a book with water or rain on the cover (or in the title)

I Believe in a Thing Called Love - Part 3: You wrestled a crocodile for me! Read a romance novel. (Making sure with mods to see if it counts)

A Court of Wings and Ruin - Part 1: Read a book by an author, or with a character called ‘Sarah’

Hunted - Part 3 - Watch out for the hunter! Read a book with the words ‘hunter/hunted/hunt’ in the title.

The Friday Society (This one's tricky since both options are things you girls have already said you will do but i picked) - Read a book by an author, or with a character who’s name starts with the letter ‘A’ (for Alan)

Redwall - Part 3 - It’s a stampede! Run! Read a book whose title starts with the letter R.

Adriana | 3733 comments Btw - For part 4 J is notoriously hard to find. At least it was the last time so I went searching for some:

Jackaby Jailbait On the Jellicoe Road Jepp, Who Defied the Stars Jesse's Girl Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side The Jewel Jinx Jonah Joyride Juliet Immortal Just Fly Away Jumping Off Swings Jump Just Listen

For the initial part my initials are A.G. What are yours?

And yeah that's why I'm counting The Jewel. Do we get extra bonus points for completing each part?

Awesome (:

We can complete each part 4 times as a team but individually you can't do the same part more than once.

You can change my Adriana (ACOWAF) to a book set in another world.

Adriana | 3733 comments So this is what she means. I won't be able to do say I next time for the second go around because I already picked I.

First time completed

J - Adriana
U- Maddison
M- Aly
A - Kim
N - Sophie
J - Maddison
I - Adriana

Second time completed
J - Aly
U- Adriana
M- Sophie
A - Maddison
N - Aly
J - Adriana
I - Kim

And so on until we complete it 4 times.

But we should focus on completing all parts once at mostly because I believe we get an extra bonus for completing all parts.

Yeah thanks, still slightly confused but if I just read for a different task each time I should be right.

I'm not even sure if we should try for the JUMANJI because it's tricky :/ What do you guys think?

message 42: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Yeah, and then move on to see what we can do as a group with part 1 and 4.

Hmm... I looked at it and it doesn't say we get bonus points for completing all parts only EACH part so that might be a good idea Maddison. Let's ask Sarah and if not I think that's a good idea. Focus on what we can accomplish (:
