John Seymour I forget the exact scene, but at one point Cao Cao says there is no such thing as too much trickery in war and this volume certainly abounds in ruses and tricks. What is your favorite "trick" so far?

Definitely the arrows, it was extremely clever.


John Seymour Yeah, that was mine as well. I guess I used that in the question about Red Cliffs. I did wonder why Kongming shouted "Thanks for the arrows" at the end as they were sailing away. I wondered if that was to set up Cao Cao to hold off arming the South if they landed with a real invasion force, but nothing ever came of it.
