Quantum (quantumkatana) And do you have higher expectations?

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8073 comments I think most readers expect a writer at the least to match the quality of his/her previous works. I don't envy writers who have a wildly successful first novel.

Quantum (quantumkatana) Faith wrote: " I now know that agents and publishers insist on a follow up book soon, well under a year gets demanded now, even when the author isn't ready to deliver the same quality and inspiration. A publisher with a best selling author in their stable prefers sales while the market's hot and is willing to sacrifice consistency (and author's reputation?). "

that is tough, but still it's a job, right? ^_- i rather think that as a self-published author, one has got to be as productive if not more.
