haha. Those were my thoughts exactly! I'm also pretty OCD so cataloguing and tracking my progress while reading is super enticing to me. Happy reading to you as well!

Kamisha (kamishamish) | 25 comments Got my reading pile prepared!

https://twitter.com/kamishamish/statu...

I've been reading It and I'm about 500 pages in so I'll be reading that off and on throughout with choices from the rest of the stack!

message 7: by Ana (new)

Ana (404-equivalent) | 63 comments I'd love to know your thoughts on Norse Mythology, if you get around to it! I'd love to read it as well.

Good luck!

Yeah, of course! I actually pre-ordered that one back when it came out a couple months ago, so it's one of my more anticipated ones!

message 9: by Ana (new)

Ana (404-equivalent) | 63 comments I actually pre-ordered it as well but for a friend who loves Norse mythology. She hasn't read it yet though.

message 10: by Kamisha (new)

Thanks! Happy reading to you too!

Kamisha (kamishamish) | 25 comments I'm a very hyperactive reader for lack of better word, so I typically read multiple things at the same time. I'll usually read about 50 pages or so in one book and then change it out with another book and go back and forth between them so I don't get tired of one. That being said, I'm going to start finishing up Everfair by Nisi Shawl and in between will be continuing It by Stephen King

message 14: by Kamisha (new)

Kamisha (kamishamish) | 25 comments Taking a break to set up the hammock and move this operation outside for a few hours!

message 15: by Kamisha (new)

Kamisha (kamishamish) | 25 comments Finished two more graphic novels and taking a break for a few hours for family obligations. Be back for the night stretch! Life calls.

I like that description of "hyperactive reader." I'm always in the middle of several books as well, although I may switch back and forth or stop one to read an entirely different one all at once. It's so random.

Hope you are enjoying your first readathon! Good luck with the rest of the second half!

Yeah, that sounds a lot like my style of reading too! It really just depends on my mood! And thank you! Hope you had fun as well!

message 21: by Kamisha (new)

Kamisha (kamishamish) | 25 comments Well I didn't last as long as I wanted to! Ended up falling asleep right at Hour 17, but I still enjoyed my first read-a-thon!

I read: Binti (Binti, #1) by Nnedi Okorafor Ms. Marvel, Vol. 1 No Normal by G. Willow Wilson Ms. Marvel, Vol. 2 Generation Why by G. Willow Wilson Paper Girls, Vol. 2 by Brian K. Vaughan Monstress, Vol. 1 Awakening by Marjorie M. Liu

and in-between I continued reading It by Stephen King and Everfair by Nisi Shawl

Starting with The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman today! Keeping with my spooky theme for the month, I've been participating in #screamathon over on Litsy and it's so much fun!

Oh, I'd like to read that one too, hope it turns out well! Gaiman is always a good choice! And so far so good. 3 books done with a couple others in the mix!

Kamisha (kamishamish) | 25 comments Got 925 pages read and 3 hrs 21 mins of audio listened to for this readathon. I participated until hour 22! And read for 16 hrs 24 mins. Read The Turn of the Screw towards the end and that was a horrible choice. It was a good book, but the language was REALLY hard to focus on at that hour and I think that slowed me down some.

It's been fun! Until next year!

The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman Harry Potter A Journey Through A History of Magic by British Library Kindred A Graphic Novel Adaptation by Damian Duffy The Turn of the Screw by Henry James

Worked on The Fifth Season (The Broken Earth, #1) by N.K. Jemisin The Language of Thorns Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic by Leigh Bardugo

Kamisha (kamishamish) | 25 comments So excited to be participating in my third readathon tomorrow! Last year work got in the way of my participation, but this year I wised up and took the day off for full enjoyment!

message 33: by Kamisha (new)

Kamisha (kamishamish) | 25 comments Finished up the readathon last night at 15 hrs and 48 mins. I definitely took the more causal approach for this readathon, took some time out to go to a movie (Pet Semetary :) ) and didn't stay online too much. And it was so much fun! Can't wait for October!

I finished up Black Leopard, Red Wolf (The Dark Star Trilogy, #1) by Marlon James 3001 The Final Odyssey (Space Odyssey, #4) by Arthur C. Clarke The Dark Game by Jonathan Janz The Tea Dragon Society by Katie O'Neill Giant Days, Vol. 1 (Giant Days, #1) by John Allison and got a good amount read in my audio for Timekeeper (Timekeeper, #1) by Tara Sim .
