Courtney Judy (courtneyjudy) Checking in! I'm at a baseball game tonight, so I'm away from my laptop. I'll get everything all squared away and posted tomorrow :)

Laura (acquariusgb) (acquariusgb) | 442 comments Hi, is it WWI or WWII?

Laura (acquariusgb) (acquariusgb) | 442 comments I've got a list of books, let's see if I can stick to it. LOL

The Prophecy of Shadows (Elementals, #1) by Michelle Madow Vicious (Vicious, #1) by V.E. Schwab The Crown's Game (The Crown's Game, #1) by Evelyn Skye Monument 14 (Monument 14, #1) by Emmy Laybourne (I'm hoping to read the whole trilogy of this one)
and maybe The Diabolic (The Diabolic, #1) by S.J. Kincaid

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments WWI. :)

message 13: by Colleen (new)

Colleen Scidmore (colleensreadingadventures) | 968 comments I have a question Courtney. Do we have to read a whole trilogy or a book that's part of a trilogy?

message 14: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments A whole trilogy. That one is probably the hardest.

message 15: by Colleen (new)

Colleen Scidmore (colleensreadingadventures) | 968 comments Thanks Courtney...yup that's going to be challenge! :)

message 16: by Colleen (new)

Colleen Scidmore (colleensreadingadventures) | 968 comments I have another question. Could this count as food on the cover?
The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson

message 17: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Yes, that works! And it's a good book, too. :)

message 18: by Colleen (new)

Colleen Scidmore (colleensreadingadventures) | 968 comments Ok Great. Thanks Courtney!

message 19: by Colleen (new)

Colleen Scidmore (colleensreadingadventures) | 968 comments I'm sorry to keep bugging you! But for the WWI book, does it specifically have to be about the war or just take place during the time span of the WWI?

message 20: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments It would be best if it mentions the war in some way, but it doesn't have to specifically be a book set in the war. Do you have a book in mind?

message 21: by Colleen (new)

Colleen Scidmore (colleensreadingadventures) | 968 comments No, just looking through some lists and there are books set in 1910's that some don't mention the war, at least in synopsis, but it is during the 1914-1918 time period. So I thought I would check

message 22: by Trisha (new)

Trisha | 6815 comments How's everyone's reading going?

Laura (acquariusgb) (acquariusgb) | 442 comments I've started reading Monument 14 and since I had to wait for over an hour at the hairdresser's but I didn't have my book, I've also started The Game.

I saw that there's Wolf by Wolf in the buddy read thread and I'm really tempted since it's been on my TBR list for months.

Laura (acquariusgb) (acquariusgb) | 442 comments I've finishedMonument 14, book 1 of the trilogy I've planned to read.

How does it work? Can I already post the review or shall I make a post with all 3? Thanks : )

message 29: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments You can do it either way. :)

message 32: by Colleen (new)

Colleen Scidmore (colleensreadingadventures) | 968 comments Thanks Jackie...me too! I think I got a flu or virus of some sort...no fun. :(

message 34: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Aww, sorry to hear you aren't feeling well, Colleen! Hope it doesn't last too long.

message 35: by Courtney (new)

Courtney Judy (courtneyjudy) Being sick is the pits. I'm still trying to get back to 100% myself. It seems to be even worse when what was ailing me was physical and in a sensitive lady area (sorry for the tmi there)

message 36: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Hope you are feeling better as well, Courtney. Physical issues can definitely be terrible.

message 37: by Courtney (new)

Courtney Judy (courtneyjudy) Definitely on the mend. Plus side, I've had to take multiple sitz baths with epsom salt, and after four days the skin on my feet is SO SOFT!!

message 38: by Colleen (new)

Colleen Scidmore (colleensreadingadventures) | 968 comments I hope you feel well soon also Courtney! Lady problems suck too! :(

message 39: by Colleen (new)

Colleen Scidmore (colleensreadingadventures) | 968 comments In regards to review books does it have to be through this group or can it be from other sources?

message 40: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments If you get one through another author or website that's also fine.

message 41: by Colleen (new)

Colleen Scidmore (colleensreadingadventures) | 968 comments Ok thanks Jackie! I just had one sent from an author so I was hoping to use that.

message 42: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Yep, that's fine.:)Are you feeling any better?

Laura (acquariusgb) (acquariusgb) | 442 comments Hi, Hope everyone is feeling better.

Today I should finish the third book of the trilogy I'm reading, so I'll post the three reviews. Unfortunately, with work, I wasn't able to finish it during the reading marathon.

message 44: by Trisha (last edited May 12, 2017 05:36AM) (new)

Trisha | 6815 comments no worries, Laura! I hope your trilogy has been good!!

Today I'm going to finish: A Good Idea by Cristina Moracho (no spot...) & Unplugged (The Wired, #1) by Donna Freitas for One Word Title

I hope to start: You're Welcome, Universe today that will work for: Read a book that starts with: X,Y, or Z

and and tomorrow, start Count All Her Bones (Girl, Stolen, #2) by April Henry for the Heritage task (and complete a line!)

message 45: by Colleen (new)

Colleen Scidmore (colleensreadingadventures) | 968 comments I'm actually feeling a bit better, more like myself and less like an invalid! I hate being sick. :( Thanks Jackie and Laura!

message 46: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Anyone who is concerned about making their birth year public can use mine to complete that square (1991). And for the "100 years older than you" square it just needs to be within a few years of your birth year, it doesn't have to be exact.

message 47: by Trisha (new)

Trisha | 6815 comments Yay! lol Thx!

message 48: by Courtney (new)

Courtney Judy (courtneyjudy) Finished a book this evening, will get the review done and posted tomorrow :)

Courtney Judy (courtneyjudy) I'm almost finished with a second book that I'll get he review done later this evening. The first one I have to put my review is a one word title. Does that help?
