YA Buddy Readers' Corner ♥ discussion

- This challenge is for everybody that has lots of books sitting on their shelves unread and unloved.
- The Challenge will run from July 1st to July 31st inclusive.
- Points earned in this challenge will count towards the 2014 MMC.


This challenge is fairly simple -

All you have to do is post a picture of your bookshelf that you're going to 'clean' (you can post multiple shelves, or pictures of books on your ereader). Make sure that we can see the titles of the books, and are able to work out what they are - you can also list the books that you are going to read below your picture.

books to read - etc.


Please Note:
* You can read as many books as you like
* You can read books in any order
* You are free to post multiple shelves/photos of books on your ereader
* You can skip books which are on your shelves that you have read
* Books read should have been published BEFORE 1st of January 2014 (they should have been hanging around for a while!) - unless they are second or later in a series.

Points will be earned in 3 ways-
* 1 point per book read and reviewed (review guidlines apply)
* 1 additional point for a buddy read (buddy reading rules apply)
* 'Bonus' points will be earned in the same way - 1 point for a review, and 1 point for a buddy read.
* 5 bonus points are also given for posting a photo of your bookshelf/ereader.

Bonus points - Bonus points are given if you do a buddy read with someone for one of the books on their shelf, i.e.: helping someone else with their cleaning!
EG: If Abbie has on her shelf, but I don't have it on my shelf, I can still earn points for it if I read it with her ☺


There will be one winner who has the most points, and a second random winner

Rules:
* Books must appear on either your shelf or your buddy's shelf (you may post as many books/shelves as you like though)
* Books must be at least 100 pages in lenth
* Books must be read between July 1st and July 31st (inclusively)

yes, books must be read and reviewed between July 1st and July 31st. You don't need to write long reviews, we just need a few details to show that you read the book. You can even do 4 detailed status updates whilst you're reading the book instead ☺

I will post my shelf when I have all the books I want to read on it

Extremely silly question: is there any way to get a picture (ie a print) from my Kindle Paperwhite screen other than actually taking a photo of it?

I'm in! Not the biggest fan of making reviews but we all got to stretch beyond our likings once in a while. :)

Yeah me too Maria! But for all these challenges you need reviews. :/ That's why sometimes I just post decent status updates and decent status updates will count for a review.

Yeah I just realized that everyyyy book must be reviewed. :/ I think I would forget to make a status though, I usually read a book in one sitting during the summer, otherwise if I can't read it in one sitting that means I'm probably busy and wouldn't have time to make a detailed status review. :/ We'll see what works. Lol I can already tell I'm not even going to be close to winning, I'm joining cuz it'll be fun to do something new. Have something to do with the reading. What, i.e., would be a good status update thingy?

You can just post covers, but you get bonus points for a photograph.

If you post 4 detailed status updates whilst reading the book you can use those instead of writing a review ☺

otherwise, if you have to write a revew, we just want a couple of details - similar to those status updates. just something that lets us know you read the book.
even something like -
I like that the main character had a large family, but it was sad that her grandfather had alzheimers.
The love interest really liked cars, but they made a great couple.
