Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Anthony Ashworth appears to get away scot free and marries Stephanie. What did you think of this "cliffhangerish" ending?

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I was most unsatisfied!! lol I want him to suffer and suffer again. And I hate that Amanda got her way. I hope Sebastian makes good on his threat to make Stephanie a widow inside of a year.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I hope so too!

I was kind of annoyed at first, but this way we get to imagine all the ways he can be made to suffer and then read a book where it happens :)

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments Ha, true! Maybe Hendon will help to make him miserable.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I suspected when I got to the last forty pages that both villains would not meet their just end. That encouraged me that we will get at least one more book, and hopefully a few more!

Stephanie's pregnancy will lead to some interesting speculation (way off page, I'm guessing). What kind of mother will she be able to be, can she influence her child to good nurture as opposed to bad natural possibilities?

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments Like you, Charlene, I was disappointed that Stephanie ended up pregnant by Ashworth. But they say that serial killer Ted Bundy was very charismatic and charming too so...

Yes, he was. He used his good looks and charm to lure his victims. Evil is very rarely recognizable from looks alone.

When I learned Stephanie was pregnant, I envisioned the marriage taking place. Game on, though, now that her pregnancy is legitimized. I don't see Ashworth surviving.

Most serial killers have a level of charm and seduction, which makes them so effective. Evil can come in pretty packages.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments The clock is definitely ticking for Ashworth. Who will go down first though, Ashworth or Victoria? lol

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
For Stephanie's sake and other young boys, I hope Ashworth goes first. Victoria has already done her dirty deed and no way is she getting to do Jarvis away:)

Angela | 155 comments It will be interesting to see what happens with Ashworth in the next book. I think it's more likely though the situation might string out over a couple of books before he gets his comeuppance.
