Me too! My copy of The Wise Man's Fear was 1000 pages even!

Although, I believe my French copy of Harry Potter et l'Ordre du Phénix had over 1000 pages.
^Edit: 1030 pages!

message 66: by Victoria (new)

Victoria S | 10 comments A Game of Thrones, 837 pages. I haven't read any of the sequels yet but I really want to... to be honest I've read GoT twice, the first time it took me a couple of months, the second one I did like an annotated version comparinf it to the show, and seeing forshadowing, clues for popular fan theories, and I was reading it for months and months.

myfortressofbooks | 18 comments Kingdom of Ash, the final installment of the Throne Of Glass series is the longest book I have read as of yet (984 pages!) but it was amazing - it didn't feel long at all which is to be expected of Sarah J Maas' works!

message 70: by Melliott (new)

Melliott (goodreadscommelliott) | 510 comments Let's see:

I read all those damn Game of Thrones books (up to 1100 pages apiece), and now I'm sorry because I'm completely convinced that he's never writing the last one, and it's been so long since I read the rest that I would have to reread them to remember what happened, and THAT'S not happening...

One of the longest was Connie Willis's duology that was supposed to be a single novel—Blackout and All Clear. Although the publisher made her release them as two volumes because they were SO long, she herself states that she intended them to be one book and in fact book #1 simply STOPS (no cliffhanger, just stops) and book #2 picks up later that same day with no review. The two of them together were a whopping 1266 pages.

But probably the longest novel most people have read, if they've read it...The Count of Monte Cristo, 1276 pages to 1462 pages, depending on edition.

Vikas (vikaskhair) | 24 comments I have read many books which were more than 1000 pages at least 10+ but the biggest so far is of course from Stephen King The Stand But in few days it's going to be eclipsed by another Stephen King behemoth It while the Stand was only 1325 pages IT is going to be 1376 pages long my longest read so far.

message 83: by Romana (new)

Romana (abooknerd13) | 207 comments I've read a few monsters over 1000 pages, but taking into consideration the size of the book as well as the thickness, probably Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson. That's around 1200 pages and it's the size of a large hardcover, but the print of a paperback, if that makes sense.
