Read the sample online from this one...recognized the names and remembered when the club read Bettina's book, whichever that was, way way back. Also remembered I decided I really didn't like the author's style. :P

Sample confirmed that I don't mesh well with her so I'm not buying it, and the library doesn't have it, so I might be bad and not read this one. :) I'll still turn up to hear what you guys thought of it! The alt Palimpsest is still in my plans, also.

Of course, the fact that Etched in Bone just came in for at the library maaaaay have a little bit to do with my lack of interest in lesser books too! :D

I've just started reading the book so I'm looking forward to joining the hangout again!

I read like 15%of the book and I am so disappointed. It is such a horny bullshit so far.

Just noticed how far into May we are! Gonna throw a poll up for a few dates next week, I'll leave a write in too for other suggestions. :)

Well, it was fun. Pretty much what I expected from this series, and I've read a lot of them.

Starting to feel like I'm the only person who liked Palimpsest. That one isn't really about the plot, more about the words. But I liked it.

*looks guilty* The start was very pretty.... then I got my hands on Andromeda at last, and except for work lunch time, I haven't been reading it! Oops. I need to actually put the controller away and get reading, lol.

Overwatch has a free weekend this weekend and Steam has Fallout4 for free, too, this weekend. I'm getting jack done right now. lol

Hey ladies. I just came from Scotland so I totally blacked out it is end of month. To be honest, I haven't finished any of the books. Main pick was actually too stupid for me to read so I am not going to try to read it at all. With alt pic I somehow noticed I am get into the same problem. Is it worth it or not? Do we plan doing hangout so are we going to do 2in1 again by the end of month?

Yeah, I don't have the patience for reading the alt right now. It's officially going to the "Try Again Someday" pile. Too many other things I have to actually pay attention to right now, no energy left for it. If you all want to wait for next month, that's fine with me. I mean, I'd hang out and talk other books anyway, but it's a little more purposeful if more than one of us reads at least one of the picks! lol

The Ghost Bride I've read already, gonna re-read it so it's fresh in my head. It's not as mindless as Shadow's, and it's not as "hey look what I can make words do!" as Palimpsest, so it should be a smoother, more satisfying read. Not sure yet how I feel about June's alt, we'll see.

I do have to say I think Bonnie put it best in the main hangout when she said that Shadow's "needs verbal lube!" :D
