Looking for PNR series sort of like BDB

Jamie ~ Bad Boy Inspector (jamie_badboyinspector) | 4 comments I am looking for a new series sort of like Black Dagger Brotherhood where all the future characters of the other books in the series live in the same house/compound or small community setting. I am wanting the close nit family feel where they joke and cut up with each other and you get to know the side characters and then want to read their books. Another example is Dannika Dark's new Crossbread series and Scarlett Dawn's Forever Evermore series (even though this is ya/na paranormal).

Sheri | 202 comments I'd put my recommendation on the Anita Blake series by LK Hamilton any day. I'm actually re-reading them on & off right now. I'm on book 3 & I love them just as much as I did the first time around.

Sara Hooper | 6 comments Immortals After Dark. So many characters inter-related come together and appear in the next books. You may not see all characters in the one book. I have only read 5 books, there are like 12 or so. Each book is focused on 2 characters. I have not read Black Dagger Brotherhood, so I do not know exactly what it is about. Immortals are romance stories but more than that of course. Vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, valkarie...

Sheri | 202 comments At the expense of sounding odd... I must tell you how great that is to hear!!!! She is a fav of mine as well but it seems you are the FIRST person that I've come across on GR that thinks LK Hamilton's AB series is awesome, fun, adventurous, well written & basically the cat's pajamas. The reviews for the AB series are so sad on here. Seems very strange considering her success with the series & Narcissus in Chains being a bestseller!!! Usually when I mention LK Hamilton to someone or suggest trying book 1, I feel like the outcast in highschool sitting alone at lunch. It's nice to meet a fan!

YAY - i love meeting LKH fans - i know what you mean about the negativity surrounding Anita Blake and I honestly don't get it. I mean if you read the first 10 books and hate it so much why keep reading the series just to put it down. I am a member of a fantastic Anita Blake fan page on Facebook you should join - daily discussions about both LKH series and everyone is friendly/a fan. The group is called Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Fans!
