Horror Aficionados discussion

The Library at Mount Char is one of my favorite books. I would love that to be the group read. I think it would be a fun one to discuss.

Some good suggestions coming in. A day or two left to get in your noms and then I will put up the poll so we can all have ample time to pick up the reads.

I'll put in another nomination for Angel Manor. Because the lack of women authors that this group has read is pathetic.

City of Ghosts, by J.H. Moncrieff (to add another woman author). ;)

It's also currently free on Amazon for the eBook.

I agree that City of Ghosts by J.H. Moncrieff would be a great choice.

Ack! I JUST TODAY watched a documentary on the making of JAWS! --Jen from Quebec :0) (For me, doing the JAWS ride at Universal was *amazing*- so glad I got to experience that one!)

Not that I have a problem with the book. but April and May each had one of the group reads from a female author.

I think the main issue is that horror is still unfortunately a heavily male dominated field, although that is starting to change.

Maybe an idea would be to have a theme month where all nominated books are by women authors? I would love to expand my list of female horror authors.

So I was looking through all my books on my kindle and one that stood out a something I wanted to re-read for maybe the 4th or 5th time is Jurassic Park. May not be full on horror, but seeing it brought back memories of being a 10 year old boy obsessed with dinosaurs, reading this book under my blankets with a flashlight.
