A reminder: each team will be assigned 5 key words randomly at the beginning of the challenge. We have to read 4 books including each key word for that category to be completed, and then we receive 10 bonus points/a new word.
We get 4 passes, but should use these carefully.
Any team member can read books within the category - so you could, if you wanted, individually read four books including that key word. We might be best trying to get BRs set up for each category within the team.
Points:
*100 - 199 pages = 1 point
*200 - 299 pages = 2 points
*300 - 399 pages = 3 points
*400 - 499 pages = 4 points
*500 - 599 pages = 5 points
*600+ pages = 6 points
(maximum of 6 points per book)
*Buddy reads DOUBLE your points score

If there's any chance of sorting out BRs within our group for our key word, that would be a huge help.

Going to look through ARCs and then hit the library/Kindle Unlimited to see what I have. I can definitely read a book for 'Bone' - if anyone wants to BR it.

I get a bit carried away with these things, but have set up a spreadsheet to use for tracking out progress.

Really looking forward to this challenge! At the moment I'm doing the Jumanji challenge in a serious team so I'm curious to see how things differ in a fun team. Trying to keep up in a serious team can be pretty stressful at times - especially with a full-time job 8'D

I'd love to read The Girl with All the Gifts, and potentially its sequel (technically a prequel - but meh) for "Gift". If anyone wants to do the same we could create a BR for it - and that would also complete the Gift category too c:

I know...I'm one off finishing the Jumanji challenge first time, but next month I'm marking exams so don't get as much time.

We can't count for duplicate categories though. If we get categories with 'The' 'and' etc then they're easy to fill so could be read alongside the ones that will need a bit more planning.

My school librarian dug out Rot and Ruin for me...she'll be a handy resource, even if it means reading stuff I wouldn't normally. Shall we set up a BR for this too?

I just added Avenged (Ruined #2) for the word Ruin which closes off the category Ruin! :)

I'm going to join a couple of BRs-Wintersong, I'll Give You the Sun and Now I Rise. We can bank them for use (wildcard if they don't come up). My first couple of weeks are pretty free-after that I'll have to see how I go.

I added a lot of books to my column there. I just looked through what I had on my to read shelf :)

I've created a spreadsheet that links to all the individual June BRs in addition to the books themselves. Will hopefully add which key words each book in a June BR is appropriate too shortly as well.

The team spreadsheet links to this, and if you want editing permission feel free to ask - I just left it as view only with the link for now purely because the initial spreadsheet is posted on the forum ;D

So I have a book to read for Ruin, it's called a Court of Wings and Ruins and it just came out so it's perfect timing! It's the third book in a series so if anyone else has read this let me know and we can buddy read. -- Warning, this is a really long book.

Hi Melinda. Do check out the spreadsheet, and links attached. We set up a BR for Rot and Ruin and the fourth slot is claimed. Do read the Sarah Maas one-we can use it for 'and' category, or keep it for if we get 'ruin' again.

Currently doing the BR. We can use it for "AND" if we cant reuse it later

Started in case we get "SISTER".

Im interested! Love the story and really need to reread the whole series. The last book in the series is so i think these books can work for "AND" "OF" "BLOOD" and "DREAM"

I've just ordered a copy of Blood and Starlight-happy to do a BR to get potential categories. Could we aim for 9th?

I have holidays for the whole June so bye bye school and bye bye whatever I've learnt since the start of the year :")

Very envious Ananya. I do exam marking throughout June/July as well as teaching. It's a crazy time.

Better yet - our school has a no homework policy during holidays so I'm ~completely~ free

Today ill be reading and if I finish it I will start the BR for . And this weekend I will try to get to to try and start closing out the "NAME" category.

Going to try and read Treasure Island for 'and'-should be fairly quick. Like you Natalie, banking books for categories and we'll see where they can slot in. Love the link to BRs planned too-so much easier to keep track of what options are available (and most of them are set up to fit categories this month).

Finished Daughter of Smoke & Bone and now I can try focussing on the others I'm also trying to read (once again, I'm reading far too many books at once - go me! :P). I'm really keen to read the rest of the series this month because that book was INCREDIBLE, so if anyone's keen to set up a series read for it, the series should cover in total the following keywords (some more than once):
Of, And, Bone, Day, Blood, Light, Night & Dream

I see that Ananya and Julianne are keen for at least the second, are you perhaps keen for the third as well? ;D (And the ebook 2.5 is also surprisingly long enough o.O)

Yeah, I got a bit bored during a break at work and figured if I organised all the current June BRs into a spreadsheet it would help everyone decide on potential books to read XD;; I always have so many books I want to read at all times that having something to focus on to actually CHOOSE books from accordingly is a huge help :|
