My wife and I welcomed our second son into the world earlier this week. Quinn Thomas Shea, 7 lbs. 9.5 oz., 20 inches was born on June 6, 2017 at 6 PM MST. Some of you may remember, we adopted our first son in March of '16. Well, we got a call this past February from the agency we used letting us know that our first son's birthmother was pregnant again and that she was interested in us adopting his half-brother. Having tried to start a family for over 15 years unsuccessfully, we now have two half-brother boys born within 15 months of each other. I think the saying is 'if you want to here God laugh, tell him your plan' Everyone is healthy and happy. I posted a picture in my profile if you're interested.

Congratuations! You'll have your hands full!I also have a history with infertility. Although I did successfully have two wonderful children, born exactly seven years apart, I often heard God laughing at me as I raised them. Parenting is often very difficult, but I could always take strength from knowing that I'd gotten exactly what I asked for.
Congratulations on your new "edition," Charlie! How special to be able to adopt the two brothers.

That's wonderful Charlie. My sister adopted her son after many unsuccessful attempts and he's fifteen now. Kudos to your son's birth mother for wanting to give the boys a wonderful life. Congratulations!
